Family Discipleship Podcast

Christian families are on a pilgrimage to their true eternal home. How do we live in light of that reality and embrace eternal priorities for the furtherance of God's Kingdom purposes? Join me as second-generation homeschool mom Ruth Adams shares fresh vision and practical ideas on how families can live and breathe and do all for the glory of the Lord.

Ruth Adams is the author of the books Legacy: Reflections of a Homeschooled, Homeschooling Mama and the Word Study Scripture Writing Journal Series. She enjoys encouraging ladies of all ages to be tethered to God’s Word through her podcast, the Legacy Homeschool Reflections Podcast. She was home educated herself in the 1980's and 90's and is now homeschooling her own seven children, seeking to pass on the legacy of faith her parents imparted to her. She has a 40+ year perspective on the homeschooling movement and encourages parents to reach the hearts of their children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Episode 10: Re-establishing Dad’s Role as Family Shepherd

In this episode, Caleb Stomberg joins me for a discussion about the role of fathers as the shepherds and spiritual leaders of their homes. Caleb shares Biblical wisdom and practical tips for fathers seeking to reclaim this vital role in their families, even if you feel ill-equipped to do so. It’s time to re-establish Dad’s role as family shepherd and pass on a robust faith to the next generation!

Caleb Stomberg is the pastor of Legacy Reformed Baptist Church in Northwestern Minnesota. He and his wife Lindsey are blessed with seven children. Together they host the website and podcast located at ReformedFaithandFamily.com, dedicated to equipping Christian parents to disciple their children in the faith. They just finished a series on the podcast relating to the Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian Life; and Lord-willing, they plan to start a new series soon about having a “Kingdom Mindset” and raising the next generation of disciples well by reforming our worldview to reflect more of God's Word and less of the “spirit of the age.”

Episode 12: Teaching Our Children to Think Critically and Biblically

How do we nurture Biblical critical thinking and discernment in our children? Join Kerry and me as we have a conversation about why this matters in family life, and as we cover some practical advice for raising discerning children who think critically and Biblically in their worldview.

Kerry Beck helps moms get past the perfect Instagram image and move on to real life ways to raise their children to lead instead of follow. She offers practical tips to help you encourage your children to love learning, think critically, and influence those around them as adults. She inspires moms with her personal and spiritual stories of moving from overwhelmed to peace and resting in God. Kerry homeschooled her three (now adult) children for 10 years.
