Faark The Shoulds (& Alchemising Education) - Going The Distance

Going The Distance

Faark The Shoulds (& Alchemising Education)

What does it take to go the relationship distance, in this modern world of distractions and transient pursuits?

How does one keep the honeymoon vibe alive when the era of spontaneous, romantic interludes has passed and replaced by an familiar intimacy marked by farting in, rather than out, of the room and toileting with the door open?

In this episode of Fark the Shoulds, QuantiMama Jodi and QuantiPapa McGill dive into the past six months of their “DIDO” relationship experiment, that’s been full of pleasant surprises, occasional frustrations, and a healthy dose of humour. Join them as they reflect on their secret to staying connected.

Of course, it isn’t all "easy-peasy". Jodi and McGill keep it real, examining on what didn’t work, like the rough parts of being physically apart and the hard truths of not being able to support each other in real time. Adversity brings innovation and even these tough moments promoted growth, showing them new ways to communicate their needs, to laugh at the bumps, and to stretch as a couple.

How do you want to show up in your relationship?

What choices are you making each day in your relationships? Are you showing up with intention, or just going through the motions? Are you anchored in growth or protection?

When was the last time you and your beloved did something that genuinely brought you closer? What can you do to create more high-vibe moments together?

Are you “holding space” for each other, allowing vulnerability without jumping in to “fix” things?

What do you really want from your relationship, and how can you express that openly?

Join the QuantiFolk community as these two celebrate love, growth, and the real, raw journey of partnership and parenthood with humour, heart, and as always, farking the (relationship) shoulds.

Alchemising Education - Getting Naked.... with Kerri

Quick!! Get the kids out of the house, turn the heater up, select your favourite juicy music, and let's get naked...with QuantiMama Kerri.

Together with QuantiMama Jodi, they go straight to the sensitive pink bits; pulling apart Curious Kerri’s experience navigating the complexities of her child's mental health challenges within the educational system.

Challenges such as:

· the pressures on kids to be ‘normal’, to fit in & be accepted when there is a resounding pressure towards ‘success’ & achievement

· the importance of tuning into, observing and being the greatest advocate for your kid’s wellbeing despite the limitations of the system

· the emerging phenomena of parents being kept in the dark by well-meaning institutional representatives, under some restrictive belief that this is best advocacy practice for the child

· a lack of family engagement from the school and the ensuing disconnect between parent & child,

· parents' voices, values & roles as a primary carers being overlooked and understated.

There will always be extreme examples of child mistreatment and malfeasance, where the kid’s privacy must be protected by the institution BUT as QuantiMama Kerri explains, sharing a mothers first-hand account of how challenging and confronting it is to be contrary to the system, she reminds us of the importance of ‘pausing’, being guided by love (not fear), and the imperative to gather relevant information and advocate for ‘option C’.

Quantifolks, you are not alone in your parenting journey. This episode is a heartfelt reminder of the power of curiosity, advocacy, and love, in navigating the challenges of raising resilient children, and in this case, resilient parents.

A-faarking-men!!

Alchemising Education - An Insider's Perspective; Pt 1

It's all very well to grab your beloved and your bestie, set up a couple of mics and start a podcast about farking the shoulds and critiquing the education system from the parents/outsiders perspective BUT how much of your critiquing is influenced and impacted by a confirmation bias that grows ever stronger with each conversation?

Is the current school "product" really that dire?

Are kids needs actually systematically unmet, in favour of efficiencies and misaligned stakeholders?

How challenged are todays teachers in their desire to cater for their charges whilst balancing the duties of the position?

Is it true that we parents play a role and influence the whole shootin' match?

Is the current mainstream education really that shoddy and wanting?

Meet lovely luscious Lauren, both a current practising teacher and parent, who brings us an insiders perspective of the present school environment.

QuantiMama Jodi and QuantiMama Kerri get real and raw with Luscious Lauren about what's happening on the ground in a variety of school environments, the role (and impact) of parents in this space, the agility and adaptability of kids to adjust to new or changing places, the contrast of the traditional school space versus the one-on-one student/educators of private tutoring, and the holistic approach to our kids learning, with consideration to rhythm, diet, emfs, labels, expectation and more.

Join us to examine, reimagine and alchemise education because fark knows, the kids are ripe and ready for change.
