Today marks the first episode of Season 3! On today's episode we sit down with Steve Mapes, Senior Vice President of Strategy at Impact XM . Steve is a 30-year veteran of the event and trade show business. Steve leads the development of integrated exhibit and event communication strategies for clients that include award-winning Design, Business Theater, Biointeractivity, Interactive Learning and Virtual Events.
He presents at conferences on various topics and writes for diverse publications such as Design Management International.
Impact XM is global event and experiential marketing agency that specializes in immersive live and virtual experiences, engagements, brand activations, and temporary and permanent environments. The agency provides clients with a customized suite of services spanning program management, strategy, creative, production, fabrication, logistics and measurement.

Today, Steve discusses how COVID-19 has disrupted the events industry and has encouraged and excelerated rapid change. Steve walks us through the phases of events which takes a look from the "beginning of time" to this past February where we experienced "The Big Pivot" and now at looking to the future. This episode will expose how you can position your conference in the virtual space, stay current of industry trends and learn how to position your conference narrative to stay relevant.
