Stress. We all experience it. Taking on too much. Biting off more than you can chew. Putting other peoples’ needs before your own too often.

It’s an inevitable component of life. In fact, 98% of people report to their doctors that they have stress in their lives. But what we don’t realize is sometimes this stress is due to underlying physiological conditions.

Thyroid dysfunction– especially hypothyroidism– is almost always connected to an adrenal issue. And since the adrenal gland produces the stress hormone cortisol, this means low thyroid function goes hand in hand with experiencing chronic stress.

But– there are ways we can support our bodies and adrenal function to optimize our health even with a chronic condition like hypothyroidism. So if you’re ready to show up for loved ones and yourself, or work on projects you’re passionate about while feeling energized and minimally stressed– this is an episode you won’t want to miss!

Integrative pharmacist and best-selling author Dr. Izabella Wentz joins me to educate us all about how to best support our adrenal health and energy levels while navigating a busy life.

Dr. Izabel’s newest book The Adrenal Transformation Protocol is designed not only for women who are struggling with diagnosed chronic health conditions, but it benefits anyone dealing with symptoms of adrenal fatigue such as brain fog, fatigue, sleep issues, mood swings, or anxiety.

She’s released her program to over 3,500 people now. And she’s helped so many of them who have serious health issues get better with real diagnoses. She’s also guided people who may not have a diagnosis yet but are searching for answers because they know something’s off in their bodies.

If you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, or uncertainty with symptoms, you have to hear what Dr. Izabella discusses and learn more about what you can expect in her new adrenal transformation protocol book.

Check out this podcast to discover tips for supporting your adrenal function through diet, supplements, and lifestyle modifications. Dr. Izabella provides you with the tools you need to live a more stress-free life and minimize symptoms that may be putting your body in stressful states. Don’t forget to put yourself first!

Dr. Izabella Wentz

Dr. Izabella Wentz is an innovative and solution-focused integrative pharmacist. She’s dedicated to finding the root cause of chronic health conditions. This passion stems from her own diagnosis with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in 2009, following 10 years of debilitating symptoms.

Dr. Izabella has been treating patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and low thyroid function for several years. And she’s developed protocols targeting adrenal issues.

She’s an accomplished author and has written several best-selling books including Hashimoto's Thyroiditis: Lifestyle Interventions for Finding and Treating the Root Cause and Hashimoto's Protocol: A 90-Day Plan for Reversing Thyroid Symptoms and Getting Your Life Back.

Her newest book– The Adrenal Transformation Protocol– is fully devoted to her experience healing adrenal issues in thousands of people. It’s designed to help you get over feelings of burnout and to heal your stress-response symptoms so you can live the life you love.

If you have ever seen mold growing inside your home, most of the time, there is a larger problem that you need to look into immediately. Surface mold is just the tip of the iceberg and can wreak havoc on any system in the body, which is why it is so important to identify these mycotoxins as soon as possible to save your health and your home.

All Things Mold with Bridgit Danner

Bridgit Danner is a licensed acupuncturist, certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, and the founder of HormoneDetoxShop.com. After losing everything to toxic mold herself, Bridgit now educates about toxins and how to detoxify your body and home through a functional healthcare approach. She is my go-to expert when it comes to all things mold and is here today to share how your symptoms could be related to micro toxin exposure you might not even know about.

Could Mold Be Causing Your Hormone Symptoms?

Bridgit refers to toxic mold like a roommate that you don't want to have. Toxic mold will continue to grow and emit mycotoxins until it is dealt with for good. While you can't always see it, toxic mold can suppress your immune system, damage your cells, cause cancer and birth defects, impair mitochondrial function and the nervous system, and so much more.

The only way to recover from toxic mold exposure, whether it was recent or long in the past, is to detoxify. If you have been trying everything but still can't shake your symptoms, mold could be to blame.

Daily Detoxification Is Key

Cleansing your home and your system of mycotoxins can take a while. This is why Bridgit recommends going step by step and focusing on the basics in order to detoxify your system. Even if you have not been exposed to toxic mold, the toxins we are all exposed to the daily call for consistent detoxifying habits to help you age well and relieve your symptoms.

Daily detoxification is the key to getting past some of your biggest symptoms. While diagnosing a mold-related illness is critical, there is so much that we can do on a daily basis to detoxify our bodies and feel safe in our homes.

Are you ready to cleanse your body and home from toxic mold exposure? Share your story with me in the comments below!

If You Want To Want To Avoid Autoimmune Disease, You Should:

  1. Listen to your symptoms, advocate for yourself, and ask for more testing
  2. Calm your inflammation by focusing on gut health, nutrition, and lifestyle
  3. Implement breathwork and meditation to live a more balanced life

The prevalence of autoimmune disorders in the past 50 years has risen so drastically that autoimmune disease is now the 3rd most common category of health issues in the United States. So what is causing so many Americans to develop these conditions? While many factors contribute to your overall health, food and gut health are the foundation for a working immune system.

Finding a Balance with Donna Mazzola

Dr. Donna Mazzola is a Pharmacist with a Master’s degree in Functional Medicine and Human Nutrition. After obtaining her Doctorate in Pharmacy, Donna realized that it is only by finding a balance between medicine and nutrition that we can impact disease. After receiving her Hashimotos diagnosis in 2015, she created her blog Dr. Autoimmune Girl to help others identify the root causes of their diseases and take back control of their health.

Understanding the Why

Understanding the ‘why’ behind your autoimmune condition can be a frustrating journey. The greatest challenge that people suffer from is the unexplained symptoms that can go unanswered for years before receiving a diagnosis.

Donna knows that in order to better control what is happening in your body, you have to understand it better. By asking the right questions, learning how to decipher our labs, and advocating for ourselves, we can delay the progression of symptoms and take back control of your autoimmune disease rather than letting the disease control you.

Heal Your Gut to Heal Your Condition

Autoimmune conditions are proven to be the gateway to other illnesses down the line, which is why it is so important to be mindful of your symptoms and address your autoimmune condition as soon as possible. The majority of us live in a chronic inflammatory state without realizing it, and a gut protocol will always be your best friend when finding healing.

Whether you have an autoimmune disease or not, starting with your gut is key if you have unexplained symptoms. Focusing on your gut health has many side benefits when it comes to not only autoimmunity but your overall health and longevity. While you may not like to hear it, it is time to identify your drivers of inflammation in order to heal your autoimmunity and find the balance you are missing.
