Today’s episode is a saucy pep talk about how we might be unintentionally CHOOSING PAIN over CHANGE. Because as humans, pain is unavoidable, but we don’t have to choose to STAY in the suffering. I want to give you the tools to get yourself out of that space if you’re in it now, or give you a perspective to tap into later if you find yourself feeling stuck. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

As mentioned in today’s episode:

EmpowerHER - Feeling OVERWHELMED? I've got you GIRL!
play

10/14/19 • 14 min

In this episode:

  • Taking inventory on your priorities
  • Creating momentum to build confidence
  • Identifying what you can take off your plate
  • Making a game-plan to avoid overwhelm

That feeling of rushed & overwhelmed of just having too much to do or not knowing where to start freaking SUCKS RIGHT?

& Sometimes those feelings can make us want to retreat or completely give up or avoid even admitting that we are overwhelmed, but that’s not productive is it?

So let’s take some action & implement some new tools into our routine to help prevent & manage that overwhelm with it inevitably hits.

We are talking about OVERWHELM and I wanted to share with you 1 way that I am proactive about preventing overwhelm but then also 2 tips for managing it because sometimes we just can’t avoid feeling overwhelmed from time to time!

I hope these tips are helpful for you babe!

Quotes:

“You can’t help others, you can’t chase your dreams, you can’t be a good friend, a significant other, a mom, an employee, a business owner, a leader, a sister... if you’re burnt out & you’re running on fumes.”

“The longer that I wait to start and I sit in this analysis paralysis, the crazier the story that my brain creates gets.”

“Sometimes, we are doing all the things, but we don’t HAVE to be.”

“Before anything else, being proactive about consistently taking inventory on your calendar to make sure that your priorities are are reflected & how you actually spend your days matters.”

EmpowerHER - Is it time to LEVEL UP YOUR ENVIRONMENT?
play

03/12/20 • 14 min

In this episode:

  • Getting super intentional about your environment
  • Paying attention to who you’re spending your time with
  • Breakdown of categories of friendships & how they serve you
  • Seeking friendships & people who help you level up

Today’s topic is SO powerful, I really think it’s going to resonate with you & I am so happy you are here!!

We’re talking about the thermostat for your life, in particular to your friendships.

Maybe you can relate to this stage of life like I am in where I am getting super intentional about my environment, both when it comes to my calendar but also my relationships & the people I am spending my time with and really understanding that other peoples’ energy & their current thermostat settings impacts me and how I show up.

We know how a thermostat works, right?

It’s job is to regulate the temperature back to whatever it is set to. So when cool air comes in, it cranks the heat & when hot air comes in, it will trigger the AC, all with the goal of regulating the temperature.

The same concept can apply to our friendships & how they affect our own thermostat for our lives.

Today, I want you to take inventory on those friendships in a few specific categories and make sure you are surrounded by those GROWTH friends who will help you level up!

I can’t wait to hear what you think girl!

Quotes:

“If you’re spending a ton of time with people & absorbing their ideas or taking their advice, that aren’t at the same temperature as you, they’re not gonna help you grow or elevate at all.”

“I don’t think you listen to a podcast like this if you’re happy with staying the same, you’ve got a gut feeling that you want more, you want to elevate, you want to keep getting better, you’re on a personal growth journey right?”

“I have so many mentors & people that I look at from afar that don’t even actually know me, that help me level up my game.”

“You’re on a personal growth journey which means it’s not always gonna be rainbows & butterflies & happy little unicorns, staying comfy isn’t gonna get you where you want to go.”

In this episode:

  • Questions to ask when establishing boundaries
  • Taking full responsibility for your choices
  • Being intentional with your relationships
  • Different boundaries for different seasons

Girl, I am SO excited you are here today because we’re talking about a topic that recently I’ve gotten a lot of questions about, which is how do I “balance it all.”

Truth is, I’m NOT juggling it ALL, so let’s just kibosh that whole idea right now. I am happy & grateful, but I’m only juggling what I CHOOSE to juggle which means I’m really only paying attention to what I have put on my priority list myself. It’s really important that if you’re adding something new into your life right now that you’re just honest about how it’s going to be messy at first!

There’s no way to add something into an already full plate, so something will have to give. We have GOT to set boundaries, and those boundaries are going to change as the seasons of our life changes. So today, I am sharing with you a couple of questions that I ask myself to determine what my boundaries are in whatever season I am in. I hope these are helpful for YOU to set boundaries in your own life & of course I can’t wait to hear what you think!

“You’re feeling the call to wanna honor your priorities and create some boundaries because you need to do it, for your life and for the people around you that deserve the best version of you.”

Quotes:

“Maybe there’s an opportunity that you just don’t know how to say no yet, and that’s something that you want to get intentional about working on.”

“It’s not actually what’s going on or even the choices that we’re making at the end of the day, it’s how we feel about what’s going on.”

“I’m gonna make changes from this place of gratitude, where I am grateful for where I’m at now but I’m excited about where I’m going. And then I’m gonna set boundaries from there.”

“I believe that you should feel empowered to have a life outside of building a business or outside of your career, to have a full complete happy life that you love, even with big goals.”

Today’s episode is a fun one!! It’s a Q&A from questions I got on Instagram where we are talking about a WIDE range of topics like marriage and new mom life, finding purpose in the messy middle, dealing with comparison, social media growth, and monetizing a podcast. I share personal experiences and my take on how to navigate these different areas of life and business! I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Takeaways

  • Embrace the different seasons of life and the changes they bring to your relationships and personal growth.
  • When feeling stuck, ask yourself what problem you are excited to solve and focus on that.
  • Don't get caught up in social media growth for the sake of numbers; focus on creating content that you are passionate about and that resonates with your audience.
  • Six ways to monetize your podcast (before sponsorship) by driving traffic to your existing products or programs, exploring affiliate marketing, creating merch or physical products, hosting virtual or live events, masterminds, workshops, creating digital products, offering memberships, courses, or guides.
  • Remember that social media is a curated representation of people's lives, and comparison is not productive. Focus on your own journey and growth.

As mentioned on the podcast:

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or raising tiny little humans— you’ve got to check out this new company I’m obsessed with— BOOBIE SUPERFOODS.

Literally this company has superfoods for every stage of motherhood created by a nurse who is also a board certified lactation consultant!

My two fav products: BOOBIE BARS (so bomb) + The Protein (also so freaking good)!

Episode 152: Keep, Exchange, or Return

In this episode:

  • Reprogramming your brain to think better thoughts
  • Choosing to retire beliefs that no longer serve you
  • Taking responsibility for rewriting our own narratives

Hey girl! I’m so excited that you are here for today’s episode because I think you’re really going to vibe with this concept.

We are talking about beliefs and the programming that we have basically from birth, and the thoughts that we’re thinking & if they’re actually serving us.

I was listening to an incredible book called Untamed by Glenon Doyle, and she was talking about this concept that I thought was so powerful, that we always have three options with the belief sets that we currently have.

We can either keep them, return them, or exchange them. I thought it was just so juicy & I had to share it with you!

I can’t wait to hear what you think!!

Quotes:

“You get the choice... you can reprogram your brain. You can return that belief and you’re like, ‘Nope! Gotta go, this ones not working for me.’”

“If they’re not serving you, or getting you closer to a life that you love, they gotta go! We don’t have time for it. It’s not always gonna be easy, but as you start to identify them you can knock them out, one by one.”

“The conscious you become of your own thoughts & beliefs, that more that you can naturally go into these three buckets in your brain & start to craft this identity that you love!”
