Earthing is a "holistic medicine" therapy where individuals "connect" with Mother Earth's negative surface charge (excess electrons). This is supposed to help you "balance" your internal electrical circuitry and restore a lost electrical charge. Going barefoot and purchasing "grounding" pads and earthing electron catching blankets are part of the cult/ure. This Episode explains the positive effects of efficient thalamic integration (placebo effect) and how the VAK model can apply.
