Devil's Guide to Sobriety

TW: depression, excessive drug use
What an abolsute pleasure to be talking to @jackcmcnally who is a co-host of The Folklore Radio Show on @slackcityradio
I met him through his fiancé Courtney who I work with at Lust. We share some of our personal horror stories in realtion to the Brighton party scene. We touch on Jack's mental health and how alcohol started to effect his wellbeing. He explains how coming down to Brighton for university opened up a social scene that he had never been exposed to before. This is another funny and fabulous episode, I could talk to Jack for much longer about all things sober.

20 Alex Durdle

TW: substance abuse
In this episode I interview one of my actual human ex-boyfriends (brace yourself) Alex Durdle. In this episode we talk about the 8 month bender we both spent together and how much we enabled each of as addicts. We are also celebrating Alex's 3 month anniversary clean from cocaine and how that has changed his life dramatically. I also get to ask his parter some questions about what it's been like to date someone i recovery. This is a funny, silly episode but with some clear, strong messages at the end. I commend Alex for being so honest and open about his issues surrounding addiction.

22 Charlotte's incredible journey

TW: Homelessness, drug abuse, sex work, rape, loss of a child

In this episode, I interview the incredibly brave @charpunx.

This interview is definitely one of the most serious episodes we have recorded and I applaud Charlotte for coming on and sharing her story. We talk about how she survived living on the streets and the lifestyle that came alongside it. Charlotte opens up about her addiction to heroin and how she survived being homeless, self medicating with hard drugs. We also talk about what lead her to getting sober and into recovery. We touch on the Brighton punk scene and one of our mutual friends, previous podcast guest Jamie Dimmock who helped her get sober. Now Charlotte is involved with projects which help other people on the street, get into recovery.
