The latest collection from Dior Beauty features the Les Adorables collection of 3 bodycare essentials: the Body cream, shimmering body gel and the shimmering body scrub. Created as a treat for the senses, the trio harmonise mind, skin and soul in perfect synergy.

The inspiration? Desirable objects we want to behold, caress, collect and adore! The focus is on elevating the senses with textures and nuanced floral scents. Each step carefully formulated according to the expertise of Dior Science.

Dressed in white and gold, we follow a trail of flowers that lead us to the temple—our body, where the soul lives.

We begin with Step 1: the shimmering body scrub imbued with 24 carat gold particles and cotton extract that gently exfoliates skin while nourishing it with an emulsion that hydrates skin deeply from the inside out.

The new body cream is enriched with jasmine wax and cotton nectar, with over 90% ingredients of natural origin—bathing your skin in luxurious texture and floral scents.

Finally, not forgetting the shimmering body gel, which has a fresh and light texture especially suited for the décolleté and shoulder area—immediately absorbed and enhancing the skin with an iridescent sheen for a lasting golden glow.

L-ascorbic acid is the active molecule from raw vitamin C which works on skin. It is also highly unstable, meaning it gets oxidised rapidly upon exposure to environmental oxygen. Once it is oxidised, it is rendered useless. By default, all vitamin C serums are packaged in an amber glass bottle to minimise oxidation by light as well. The best vitamin C serum formulations get around this problem by:

Increasing the concentration of L-ascorbic acid to ensure there is still a sufficient amount that works on skin taking into account the oxidation process
Ensuring the companion ingredients have anti-oxidant properties i.e. green tea extracts can synergise and boost the effectiveness of L-ascorbic acid
Instead of L-ascorbic acid, vitamin C can be formulated as a salt known as sodium ascorbyl phosphate (SAP) which is highly stable and resistant to oxidation.
