Deadtime Storiez
We're BAACCKK! And we're bringing you an abandoned hospital that's overrun with ghosts, and a semi-controversial true crime story that's bound to start a conversation. Sarah starts the episode with the incredibly haunted Old Changi Hospital in Singapore, China. Build in 1935 this hospital soon found itself being used to harm people instead of treat them. Rumored to have housed POW's as well as the "notorious Kempeitai" (the Japanese military police, which also played the role of that of a secret police) a group that tortured and killed many people (including the POWs) imprisoned in the hospital. With a backstory like that, you KNOW its full of ghosts - and it is. Stephanie wraps up the episode with the true crime case that inspired the most recent Hulu drama "The Girl From Plainville". It's the tale of Michelle Carter and Conrad Roy III. You might remember this case because it was all over the media, because after Conrad took his life it came out that Michelle had been texting, messaging, and talking to Conrad about doing so. Some believe she did it maliciously and should be held accountable for his suicide - while others think this was a terrible story of two mentally unwell teenagers and an incredibly unfortunate situation. What do YOU think? Should Michelle take the blame for Conrad's death? Leave us a comment and let us know!

You never have to worry about where your next meal is coming from! *you're welcome for the joke* We're starting a 2-part, Solo-Sarah story this week and it's all about the wild and crazy guy that was: John R. Brinkley. Widely known as Dr. John Brinkley - he was in fact, no Doctor at all. But he didn't let "invalid credentials" and a diploma from a diploma-mill stop him. John Brinkley's number one claim to fame came when he had the bright idea to implant goat testicles into the testicles of men to increase virility. And boy, did men LOVE this idea. Throughout the span of his life, John Brinkley performed his Goat Gland Transplant on thousands of patients (and not all were men *spoiler*). BUT - the Goat Gland Transplant Doctor is not his ONLY claim to fame...that's just the testicle that got the ball rolling on what would be a bumpy (and ultimately downhill) road. Tune in next week to hear how John Brinkley takes his Goat Gland Advertisements to the next level and how that would inevitably lead him into local politics (because, of course it would).
