Your Internal System Is A Coral Reef: Cells, Tissues, Biomechanics & Relationships with Rachel Lando #23
03/14/23 • 71 min
Rachael is a fellow anatomy curriculum creator, yoga lover, brilliant thinker, people person and biomechanics enthusiast. Her story is absolutely incredible.
She went from being an Ivy League scholar in New York to being on her deathbed several times, not even being able to complete her favorite sudoku puzzles, through a journey of self discovery, Buddhist mindfulness practices, yoga trainings, some very important realizations and back to teaching movement therapy, adaptive yoga and creating anatomy trainings that challenge the paradigm of how we think about the relationships between our different anatomy body systems.
I enjoyed this conversation so much and feel like I came out of it with a new best friend!!! 🏼 We got to nerd out about our curriculums, talk about some deep biomechanical and anatomy relational ideas, especially surrounding fascia and disease, bond over east coast ethnic cynicism and hear her anatomy analogies.
See below for all the ways you can follow Rachel and her amazing journey and participate in some of her offerings. She has a long list of certifications that exemplify her love of learning and dedication to helping people and her special abilities to help specific populations. The most interesting of these is her courses in yoga humanities, adaptive yoga, and all her past, present and ongoing training with the fabulous Jill Miller!

Intentional Movement: CrossFit, kickboxing, Dance, Yoga and an RV Trip Across the Country with Annie Law #25
Why is movement so important on you’re healing journey? And when is it type to pull yourself out of the repetitive dark night of the soul? What movement practices have been necessary for your mental health
Annie Law's life has been a journey of perpetual motion. Through dance, kickboxing, CrossFit, and yoga, she has learned to embrace the ebb and flow of life's constant shifts. However, her path has not been without challenges. As a young child, she faced various obstacles that shook her confidence and caused her mental health to suffer. By the age of 16, she began taking Prozac and entered into a 25 year, on again/off again relationship with antidepressants. Despite these challenges, she has developed the self-discipline to rise above the pain of depression and anxiety. By rejecting societal and religious norms and learning to embrace her individuality, she has gained the wisdom to navigate life with resilience and grace.
