"The toughest part about it is self confidence. Right? I mean, that's in anything, but especially in something where you're totally on your own. Athlete, entertainer, entrepreneur, the healing, arch, yoga, meditation." - Nick Weinacker
Self-confidence is crucial in any pursuit, especially when you're navigating uncharted territory. Whether you're an athlete, entertainer, entrepreneur, or on a personal healing journey, believing in yourself is key to success. Embrace your worth and trust in your abilities to overcome challenges.
Nick Weinacker, originally known for his successful career as a pro wakeboarder, transitioned into entrepreneurship after participating in competitions and tours. He utilized wakeboarding not only as a sport but also as a form of stress relief, enjoying time on the boat with friends and music. With a strong focus on personal identity and brand development, Nick aimed to excel in competitions by training differently and mastering specific tricks. Through his experiences in the wakeboarding world and involvement in various businesses, Nick Weinacker has shared his insights on stress relief and personal growth through breathwork at events worldwide.

I CHING 35 Propsering

The situation is one of easy, natural progress. What has been weak is ascending, and by gaining a prominent position, will become more powerful. One image here is the light of the rising sun, which at first appears dimly through the mists. But this same light will radiate with powerful clarity once the sun has reached its high position in the sky.

Progress is made when those in supporting positions make peace with those in leadership, and in so doing, create a natural means for their talents and abilities to become more visible. It is by recognizing and riding with the natural course of events—by hitching our wagon to the rising sun, as it were—that we advance our position and earn respect.

Goodness in human nature is like the dim but beautiful early morning light. However, just as the morning light can be swallowed by the fog, greed, hatred, and other forms of self-absorption can obscure this goodness. Be reminded that progress is achieved most effortlessly when right action is taken without concern for immediate reward, and when the path of the weaker aligns with that which is strong.

Jen Marie is an expert in self defense and specializes in bringing these techniques to civilians and making them pertinent to our healing journey, health and discipline in our current lives and situations. She is a purpel belt in Brazilian jujitsu, and a second-degree black belt in Krav Maga. She also practices Mui, Thai, boxing and teaches self-defense classes for women.

We crossed paths almost 15 years ago when I taught and ran the Yoga and meditation program at an MMA gym. I was lucky enough to learn from Jen, observe the power and discipline in the practice.... And even though I still consider myself far from being proficient, I’ve done it for enough years that I absolutely know what these kind of practices can bring you, and they will always be a part of my life!! At the very end Jen admits to me that she has been doing yoga consistently as well! What a beautiful reunion, friendship and reconnection this podcast was!

These practices saved her life and helped her heal from the traumas of her past in domestic situations. Give it a listen to learn more about her journey and her beliefs surrounding how self-defense can heal and balance your basic heirachry of needs, have an outlet for processing through the body and feel more peaceful and powerful in everyday life.

Let us know in the comments below, if you’ve ever practiced any of the self-defense arts, and what you love about them! Or if you want to try them now and you need to know where to start!

Jen is creating an online program that should launch this fall so you can practice a little bit in the safety of your own home, gain some confidence and train with her mind, body and spirit!

⭐️ Jen will also be joining us in Costa Rica this year and you don’t want to miss out on her workshop and meeting this amazing, strong woman and true friend!!! ➡️ www. zinnyoga.com/costarica2023

Follow her on Instagram, check out her website and feel free to reach out for questions or help if these practices call to your heart.

Rachael is a fellow anatomy curriculum creator, yoga lover, brilliant thinker, people person and biomechanics enthusiast. Her story is absolutely incredible.
She went from being an Ivy League scholar in New York to being on her deathbed several times, not even being able to complete her favorite sudoku puzzles, through a journey of self discovery, Buddhist mindfulness practices, yoga trainings, some very important realizations and back to teaching movement therapy, adaptive yoga and creating anatomy trainings that challenge the paradigm of how we think about the relationships between our different anatomy body systems.
I enjoyed this conversation so much and feel like I came out of it with a new best friend!!! 🏼 We got to nerd out about our curriculums, talk about some deep biomechanical and anatomy relational ideas, especially surrounding fascia and disease, bond over east coast ethnic cynicism and hear her anatomy analogies.
See below for all the ways you can follow Rachel and her amazing journey and participate in some of her offerings. She has a long list of certifications that exemplify her love of learning and dedication to helping people and her special abilities to help specific populations. The most interesting of these is her courses in yoga humanities, adaptive yoga, and all her past, present and ongoing training with the fabulous Jill Miller!
