When life isn't going the way you intended, what do you do? Slip back into what you know. Or do you go, tell it on the mountain.
There's something about the holidays that makes my heart sing. You can say music plays a big part.

We were worshipping in church and the holiday song, "Go, Tell It On The Mountain", was being sung.
When I was littler, I never understood why this song was sung. It didn't really have that holiday sound. It does have in the chorus that says, "...that Jesus Christ is born." And the verses tell about how the shepherds were told.
But why Go, Tell It On The Mountain?
I couldn't help but stay in heavy thought wondering about the mountain.
You realize that you are climbing mountains every day; some small, some big. Others you have yet to conquer.
So when success comes your way, you are excited to share the whole story, even when failure crept in along the way.
But when you don't make it up the hill, that small mountain, you are quick to hang your head, sulk, and wish you had never tried.
Yet we are told to go, tell it on the mountain!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Go, tell it on the mountain!Think about those shepherds the night when the sky was clear. Stars could be seen for miles. The night air was cool and calm.
Then low and behold the sky begins to tremble with angelic voices. The angels shared the news of the Holy birth.
Now remember, everything just minutes ago were cool and calm. In fact, the shepherds were most likely dozing or already asleep. Lions could shake the shepherds' confidence, but the angels made them tremble with extreme fear.
Have you ever been awakened during a calm day? Everything is going your way. And then all of sudden, you're in a mess!
You are reminded to go, tell it on the mountain no matter your circumstances.
God is bigger than any mountain you are climbing. You can't wait for all the stars to align in perfect harmony.
God wants you to sing from the mountaintops or in the valleys, (the small mountains and hills), that Jesus Christ is born.
He desires you to celebrate Him in the good, bad, and ugly.
Your success doesn't determine when you share God's love and grace with others.
The good news must be shared regardless of your circumstances.
REFLECTION: How have you been sharing God's goodness in your daily life? Where can you make some changes and inject His goodness into your mountain climbing?
