When was the last time you logged onto Tik Tok, Instagram or Snapchat? We bet many of you reading this were engaged in one of these platforms within the past few minutes. A recent study found that the average college student spends 17 hours/week on social media, with most spending 2-3 hours per day on these platforms. Studies show that staying so highly connected online and being exposed to enormous amounts of content can take a serious toll on your mental health, relationships and your productivity. In this week’s episode we sit down with Maddie Freeman, a junior at UC Boulder, and founder of the movement and non-profit NOSO November. You will hear Maddie

Okay. Well, we're excited. We have a guest today. I would love, for you to introduce yourself.

Hi, so my name is Maddie Freeman. I'm currently a senior at CU Boulder in Colorado, and I'm studying business management and entrepreneurship, and I'm also the founder of my nonprofit, NoSo, and I've been working in the space of mental health, suicide prevention, and digital wellness for about four years now, and yeah, I'm just so excited to talk with you both and be on this podcast today.
