INNOCENCE LOST. February 20, 1986 started as just another day, but by nightfall the town of Oak Hill, West Virginia would be turned upside down as the search for 13 year old Theresa Woods ensued. The answer to Theresa’s disappearance wouldn’t come until several months later when the young girls skeletonized remains would be found scattered along Laurel Creek. Theresa Ann Woods began her walk home from school on February 20, 1986 but would never make it to her final destination. Months later, Theresa’s skeletonized remains would be discovered in a remote area of Laurel Creek. The events of that day and Theresa’s murderer still remain a mystery. The Cold Case Crew is pleased to bring a Part 2 to Theresa’s story on the 36th anniversary of her disappearance and murder. In this episode we will retell Theresa’s story from the perspective of of those who lived it first hand and take a deeper look into the events that transpired on that day. We are hopeful in sharing a more intimate look at Theresa’s story that new information will come to light and justice will finally be served after 36 long years.
