Coach Dustin Myers is the strength coach for the Ohio Regional Training Center at The Ohio State University training Olympic hopefuls in freestyle wrestling. With the Ohio RTC since 2012, he served as Ohio State Wrestling’s primary strength coach from 2014-18, helping the Buckeyes win three Big Ten titles, their first-ever team NCAA championship, and two runner-up finishes. A certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), Coach Myers the co-owner of Old School Gym in Granville, OH, and is one of the founding partners of Max Effort Muscle supplement company. On the podcast today, Dustin covers wrestling strength and conditioning methodologies, as well as building the life and physical capability you want. He makes the argument for pursuing discomfort and how he manages to push himself and his mind through the dark places of conditioning, and how it translates to everyday life. He then speaks on his coaching experiences with youth, college, and professional athletes, what separates them, what type of character they train and compete with.
