#27 - 29 Lessons over 29 Years - Birthday Special Report | Be A Wolf - Sessions | Nayzel Sushil [S27]
11/27/22 • 50 min
I have been feeling a bit reflective this week as I turn 29 today. So decided to take some time out and write down some of the greatest lessons.. I've learnt in the last 29 years.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel and interview some amazing people over the years. As the years go by... I'm still a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. And for that “perseverance” is truly valued regardless of the outcome.
The fact is that as the sun goes up everyday, I’m grateful to be alive, at the end of day the realisation that sometimes it’s better to have a short life with the things you like doing rather then a long life spent in a miserable way as Alan watts would say - Here are 29 lessons i've learnt over 29 years on this planet.
29 Lessons, in 29 years.
- Love always wins, love as much as you possibly can every single day.
- Your relationships, circles and friends are the most important factor of wellbeing - get it this.
- Do whatever you want to do, but stay patient. Work 10 decades.
- Don’t ever make someone feel insignificant or inadequate
- Always write back, or call back, or text back - Check in on your mates.
- Give back when you can & have the opportunity - Giving someone your time is the most important.
- Be present (still failing at this lol) Love the process. Process the love
- Stay healthy, both in body and in spirit. We need to realise there is connection with lifestyle and outcome.
- Read everything, Read what you are not interested about.
- Find something you are passionate about. If you can’t do what you want. Do what you can.
- If it feels morally wrong, it is.
- Listen more, speak less.
- Ask more questions
- Take the risk or lose the chance.
- Take notes, write or Journal. Will help you remember who you are on the days you feel like giving up
- Do not criticise yourself for things you did in the past
- Be honest, don’t lie and stay true to your intentions. (Your ego will challenge you in this)
- Put yourself out there, even when you’re scared -If you really wanna taste life, swim into the unknown
- Let go of people who aren't ready to love you yet! This is the hardest thing you'll have to do in your life and it will also be the most important thing: stop giving your love to those who aren't ready to love you yet.
- The greatest gift you get to give the world is to be yourself fully.
- Have the courage to be disliked.
- Forgive quickly
- If you only have “love” for you own race, then you only leaving space to ”discriminate
- It’s You vs You.
- Happiness is earned, not deserved
- You never truly fail, unless you give up!
- Money is a good thing, it gives you options.
- Don’t try to change the world just change yourself.
- Just because you came up with nothing, doesn’t mean you can’t be something.
Keep going kid.

#26 - What influences your creativity? | Be A Wolf - Sessions | Nayzel Sushil [S26]
To quote Steven Johnson, author of Where Good Ideas Come From: “If you look at history, innovation doesn’t come just from giving people incentives; it comes from creating environments where their ideas can connect.”
Today, there’s still a large gap in what we know about creative thinking and how it works. We know that creativity is the creation of new ideas in the brain, and that creativity is heavily influenced by everything around us (even the most minute, subtle things).
But there’s more to the picture behind creativity than you might be aware of.
Three key elements make up creativity: a problem, environment, and willingness to explore.
If you look at any creative solution or invention in the past dozen decades alone, you’ll undoubtedly notice that each of these aspects are evident. A problem is initially what spurs creative thinking, the pursuit of a solution is undoubtedly the single most powerful cause of idea exploration. You’re less likely to explore new ideas for the world around you if everything is working perfectly (which, of course, it isn’t). Creativity is therefore influenced by the problems and issues in your life.
