AudreyStories - Why Immigrate? Episode 1: "Immigrate to Canada".
play

07/06/23 • 5 min

Why do we want to immigrate? Why leave our country, our place of birth? Why move to Canada? We leave our homelands because our basic human needs are not being met. Basic first level of humans need are: Food, Water, Shelter, Rest. After that, Safety and Security. All immigrants leave because they have to.
I am Audrey. I immigrated from South Africa to Canada 25 years ago. I now live on the West Coast of Canada, close to the border to the USA.
I am not an immigration specialist and do not help individuals with the process. I do not do this for money and usually do not respond on social media: not because I am unkind -- but I made a choice to use this platform, of human voice, to give my opinion on Immigration to Canada.

Die geld se naam is "Child and Family Benefits". Jy moet "Permanent Resident" status hê, jy moet in Kanada woon, en jou kind of kinders moet by jou woon.
Hoeveel? Net 'n vinnige nommer. As jy $50 000 verdien (in British Columbia), en jy het 4 kinders -- 2 onder 6 en 2 oor 6, dan sal jy $19 000 per jaar verniet kry en hierdie geld is boonop belasting-vry. Jou kinders verdien 'n "salaris" in Kanada -- gee hulle honderd soentjies! Kry hulp by 'n boekhouer of prokureur?

Koebaai is "the saddest song."
