His dream came true when Suleiman the Magnificent commissioned him to rebuild the wooden bridge over the Neretva river.

Suleiman the Magnificent said: “I say yes! If you do not build a bridge with the limestone from the hills, I will kill you in a very cruel way.” Suleiman was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire with a very bad reputation for gruesome executions,
