In this episode, Mike Townsend interviews Elena Nadolinski, CEO at Iron Fish and Craig Timm, General Counsel at Iron Fish, a layer-1 project building ZKP-based privacy for many assets across many chains. Elena was previously an avid hackathoner and software engineer at Airbnb and Microsoft.Craig Timm is General Counsel at Iron Fish. Iron Fish is building a Layer 1 blockchain to become the universal privacy layer for all of Web3. Prior to joining Iron Fish, Craig was an AML executive at Bank of America. While at Bank of America, he spent time as the designated AML Compliance Officer for Merrill Lynch and led strategic initiatives related to financial crime, including participation in the Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group, 314(b) information sharing initiatives, and the Wolfsberg Group as well as managing the day-to-day liaison with FinCEN, the U.S. Treasury, senior financial crimes policy officials at the OCC and Federal Reserve Board, key law enforcement agencies, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to Bank of America, Craig was a prosecutor with the Department of Justice leading the Money Laundering and Bank Integrity Unit in what was then the Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section (now Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section) in the Criminal Division at headquarters in Washington, DC.
