Forgiveness is one of the hardest things we need to do. Sometimes, we need the reminder that forgiving someone is about us being able to move on and not about them at all.

🔒 Lesson 1 - Introduction to Compassionate Mindfulness Meditation Course
I originally had this course available on my website but when I decided to start this podcast, I knew I would record the lessons and put them here as episodes.
The Compassionate Mindfulness Meditation Course is about you learning you. One of the reasons meditation took off is because it works, no matter what you are struggling with, being able to 'be in the moment' helps.
With my therapy clients, I frequently talk about taking a mental breath. To me, that is meditation. It is permission to shut down worries, concerns, and fears to enjoy some quiet.
I also know that quiet can be difficult if you are just learning mediation, so my guided meditations have soft music or water sounds in the background.

Mindfulness of Breathing Guided Meditation
Breathing meditation is a practice that involves focusing on one's breath as a way to calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. It can be done in a variety of ways, but the basic idea is to pay attention to the sensation of breathing in and out, and to let go of any distracting thoughts that may arise.
Some of the benefits are:
- Stress reduction: Focusing on the breath can help calm the nervous system and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
- Improved concentration: Regular practice of breathing meditation can improve focus and concentration, making it easier to stay on task and be productive.
- Emotional regulation: By learning to observe thoughts and feelings without judgment, breathing meditation can help individuals develop greater emotional resilience and regulation.
- Increased self-awareness: Through the practice of breathing meditation, individuals can become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, leading to greater self-awareness and understanding.
- Improved physical health: Research suggests that regular breathing meditation can have a positive impact on physical health, including reducing blood pressure, improving sleep, and boosting the immune system.
Overall, breathing meditation can be a powerful tool for promoting mental and physical well-being. By taking time each day to focus on the breath, you can cultivate greater awareness, relaxation, and inner peace, leading to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
