A Womb of One's Own

In today’s episode Sarah-Jane Crawford speaks to the very fabulous Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath, the first Black Marchioness in British history. Yes my darling she’s an aristocrat but one that I feel you can really get to know and chat with on a real down to earth level.

In this conversation Emma shares many personal things about how she became the woman she is today including her incredible journey to becoming a mum to two sons. In particular she opens up on details around her very scary first pregnancy, the diagnosis that she received and subsequently how she and her husband made the decision to work with a surrogate who helped them to complete their family.

And we couldn’t let her escape without pinning her down for some information about what it’s really like to run one of the most famous stately homes in the country, Longleat. Enjoy !

Shingai

On this week’s episode of A Womb of One’s Own Sarah-Jane is joined by Shingai who you just heard serenading us with a song from her incredible first solo album “Too Bold! “
This is one of our longer episodes but we promise you, you’re gonna want to listen until the end because Shingai’s story and what she has to say is incredible.
Shingai talks about her experience of endometriosis and her experience of being a woman in the male dominated music industry particularly when dealing with issues of women’s health.

Emma Cannon

In this episode Sarah-Jane chats to one of our favourite experts: fertility and women’s health Guru Emma Canon.
Together we reflect on some of the topics that we’ve discussed in the series such as endometriosis, IVF, egg freezing, plus other areas of reproductive health that we feel are really important to shine a light on, so that we, as women, can have a better understanding of how our bodies work as early in our lives as possible.

And what we love about Emma is that she has real balance with what she practices and the things that she speaks about, as she incorporates alternative healing with modern day medicine.
This was such an engaging and enjoyable conversation, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
