Emma Cannon
A Womb of One's Own
08/18/21 • 79 min
In this episode Sarah-Jane chats to one of our favourite experts: fertility and women’s health Guru Emma Canon.
Together we reflect on some of the topics that we’ve discussed in the series such as endometriosis, IVF, egg freezing, plus other areas of reproductive health that we feel are really important to shine a light on, so that we, as women, can have a better understanding of how our bodies work as early in our lives as possible.
And what we love about Emma is that she has real balance with what she practices and the things that she speaks about, as she incorporates alternative healing with modern day medicine.
This was such an engaging and enjoyable conversation, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath
A Womb of One's Own
07/30/21 • 33 min
In today’s episode Sarah-Jane Crawford speaks to the very fabulous Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath, the first Black Marchioness in British history. Yes my darling she’s an aristocrat but one that I feel you can really get to know and chat with on a real down to earth level.
In this conversation Emma shares many personal things about how she became the woman she is today including her incredible journey to becoming a mum to two sons. In particular she opens up on details around her very scary first pregnancy, the diagnosis that she received and subsequently how she and her husband made the decision to work with a surrogate who helped them to complete their family.
And we couldn’t let her escape without pinning her down for some information about what it’s really like to run one of the most famous stately homes in the country, Longleat. Enjoy !

Hayley Tamaddon
A Womb of One's Own
06/30/21 • 53 min
On this week’s episode of A Womb of One’s Own we discuss a really important topic: having children later on in life and we discuss it with the amazing actress Hayley Tammadon!
Sarah-Jane reached out to Hayley after reading an inspirational article where she had shared her story about becoming a mother after suffering from a miscarriage. At the time of reading Sarah had herself suffered a loss, and wanted to believe that she could get pregnant again and have her first baby, so given that Hayley did all of this at the age of 42, it gave her hope.
Hayley shares her experience of prioritising her career, and her fertility journey, as well as how having a miscarriage, although painful, taught her that she could conceive.
We discuss the importance of positivity, as well as honesty, around the reality of how challenging it can be to become a new mum.
