My guest today is Shannon Moroney.
Shannon is a bestselling author of two memoirs: Through the Glass, her own story following the violent crimes committed by her first husband, and Out of the Shadows, the story of human trafficking survivor Timea Nagy. Shannon is also a trauma therapist and the clinical director of Shannon Moroney & Associates, currently providing treatment, support and advocacy for dozens of survivors of disgraced fashion mogul, Peter Nygard, currently being extradited to the US on a 9-count sex-trafficking and racketeering indictment. Shannon is also the author of HEAL FOR REAL: A Guided Journal to Forgiving Others―and Yourself which was just released on January 4th.

Karen Gross currently serves as Senior Counsel to Finn Partners. She advised the Biden Election Domestic Policy Committee, focusing on student mental wellness. She is an instructor in continuing education at Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work and also sits on the Advisory Council at the Center for Minority Serving Institutions at Rutgers. She is the award-winning author of three books: Trauma Doesn’t Stop at the School Door ; Breakaway Learners and Failure and Forgiveness.
She is also the author of a trauma-sensitive children’s book series, Lady Lucy’s Quest that she has read to more than 3000 children across the globe. She served for 8 years as President of Southern Vermont College and as Senior Policy Advisor to the US Depart. of Education during the Obama Administration.
