For years, Jonny Atkins and his wife, Jodi, tried to have a baby with no luck. Eventually, they decided to adopt. When they got the call to come pick up their newborn, adopted daughter in February 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning to make its way across the US, and lockdowns were on the horizon.
