When I was a child I loved to pretend. I would imagine myself as a teacher, a pediatrician, a flight attendant. All careers where I was helping people. I didn’t know it then, but those were leadership roles as well. Twenty plus years ago, I was injured in a work-related accident, that has left me with a severe permanent disability. It forced me to search inside myself and find what other passions, purpose and possibilities I could pursue. It was when I started my direct sales business, and later became one of the company’s gratitude ambassadors, I realized that I am a giver, a humanitarian, a cheer-leader, and have a deep desire to inspire others. I had no idea it was possible to make a bigger impact, until, well- I started this podcast! I figured out how to focus my business not only on helping others earn an income, but to foster a community of gratitude, giving back and to inspire others as well. Join me and my expert guests here, where you will learn to live with passion, reclaim your purpose and explore the wonder of possibilities. I am your host, Candice Snyder and this is Passion, Purpose and Possibilities podcast.

No founder starts their journey with the perfect pitch; the beginning of every journey is filled with self-doubt and lack of support. In each episode, we demonstrate that every founder (even the most well known today) had to go through the humbling experience of getting started with an imperfect pitch. We’ll travel back in time to when our guests made their first pitch, listen to their actual pitch, and discuss the experience. In the process of exploring the first pitch, we’ll draw out vulnerable moments and practical advice that founders can use to improve their pitches. Guests on First Pitches have included founders and CEO's of Box, Cloudflare, Backstage Capital, Drift, Truepill, Make Love Not Porn, and more.

Quick advice to help startup founders fundraise better. Founders, do you feel like you're fundraising on an uneven playing field? You are. The VC minute is here to help you level up. Venture capitalists navigate pitches and negotiate investments every day. They know the ins and outs and are up-to-date on the current funding environment. But as a founder, it may be your first foray into fundraising, and no matter how much success you've had in other areas nothing truly prepares you for the fundraising journey. The VC Minute was created to help founders close this gap. While it may seem like securing an investment at the seed stage is mostly driven by luck, there are steps founders can take to increase the odds of successfully raising a round. And that's what we're going to cover on the VC Minute through a series of short episodes. I'm going to share with you insights to help navigate the seed stage financing dynamics. I'm Rich Maloy, Managing Partner at SpringTime Ventures with 25 years business experience a dozen years in the startup ecosystem. I've applied my experience from sales, finance, and venture investing, to help startup founders fundraise better.
