Tell us about yourself – what is your background?
I work in Global Leadership and Development in a Silicon Valley tech company, host the top 5% A World of Difference podcast, speak internationally on global leadership development and sit on the board of Justice Revival where I help to pass the ERA with people of faith. As a former international relief & development leader, I have led diverse global teams in multiple cultures and have lived in Singapore, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Venezuela, and the Bay Area.
Why did you get into podcasting?
I was a podcast junkie, and decided I wanted to interview interesting people who are making an impact, writing books, or who are different in ways that make me curious to learn more.
How did the idea for the show come about?
It was summer 2020- COVID lockdown here in Santa Clara County in Silicon Valley. I had just moved from Singapore. I was missing being around people. I wanted to connect with people and elevate their voices to let the world know we could still make an impact if we came together to listen, learn and make a difference together with our differences.
What do you hope listeners take from the show?
Our diversity is our strength. When we listen to understand, we gain a broader perspective and can have a bigger impact.
What's been the biggest challenge for you?
Time. My full time job in a tech company keeps me busy, and I travel internationally for work.
