Tell us about yourself – what is your background?
I am a woman Army veteran. I have 3 tours. 2 combat and 1 humanitarian. I am a mom of 2 grown boys. Wife. Doggy mom of a German Boxer and a mini snauchzer. I am a Christian. I love talking with people and laughing. I am a big outdoors person. I love to go 4 wheelin with my family in the mountains and kayaking with friends all over Idaho.
Why did you get into podcasting?
Honestly, I believe the Lord God led me to. I thought how could I have a voice in such a big industry? But when you have the Lord in it- nothing can fail! When I got saved, the Lord was working big in my life and people could see it. I was always asked, how did that happen or wow God is really in your life, how do you do it. I always replied-- get in your word. People said they never had time in their busy schedules. I made time. That time has blessed me to be able to podcast about what I learn
How did the idea for the show come about?
My first show was called Busy Believers out of the excuses people gave for not having time to read God's word. But overtime it didnt describe me and my relationship with the Lord. I began to play with words and think on my relationship with the Lord. I know that God has given me a warrior spirit and a gift of Faith. But I live in Grace, His Grace. thus the name---The Graceful Warrior.
What do you hope listeners take from the show?
Encouragement to seek God. That we walk by Faith fully Armored up. God gave me a poem recently and it says- I will praise you in the storm, no matter how big the sea. I dont care if its not the norm or what the world seems to be. I will praise you in the storm, Because God you reign in me. It is my hope that I encourage you that when we walk through those storms, stay Armored. Dont let go of his promises. His word says No weapon forged against you WILL prosper. You got this!!
What's been the biggest challenge for you?
Its actually getting the audience or listeners to engage or give their input. I really want to know my audience and how to encourage them, to bring content they are looking for.
How can your listeners support your show?
They can support me by rating my show on any platform they use. That really helps. Another way is to leave me feedback! I love to hear back from my listeners and to hear what they think about the topic discussed.
Any future plans that you'd like to share?
The Lord is my producer and boss in this. I do not know where He is taking this. Im enjoying the journey. But I hope to have a co-host one day to add some more fun to the show. But I leave that with the Lord.
