60. Two Important Questions to Ask Yourself
Have you ever felt the need to reconnect with your sense of self or discover your natural gifts?
If so, get ready to take some notes because this episode is for you.
In this week’s episode, I’ll ask you two essential questions that will help you connect to your natural internal resources.
- What is your Center of Gravity?
- What is your Zone of Genius?
Your Center of Gravity is where you feel entirely connected to your purpose and grounded in your work. Your Zone of Genius consists of the skills or talents that come naturally to you and bring you ease and flow or the feeling that time stands still when you are fully engaged.
Finding your center of gravity and zone of genius is essential for recentering and balancing yourself. Asking yourself these questions helps you tap into your awareness, guide you to your true potential, and make decisions from a place of confidence—or, as I call it, “feeding your confident wolf.”
Take some time today, ask yourself these two important questions, and tap into refreshing and replenishing your cup.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Recognizing your Center of Gravity and Zone of Genius.
- Why it is important to engage your awareness.
- How to ask yourself these questions, and where to find the answers
- What does it mean to feel grounded, centered, and tap into your potential self.
- Taking action to spend more time in your Zone of Genius

62. How to Stop the Downward Spiral
I have a confession to make: last week was HARD.
If you have been following me, you may have noticed that my family and I took a vacation to the woods. It was great, but I got in deep.
Deep into the trees
Deep into my body
Deep into listening
And guess what I was told? The vibrations told me to SLOW DOWN.
Have you ever experienced this type of awareness or a deep awakening?
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It! episode, I share my personal experiences of feeling overwhelmed. I also share the strategies I am using to not go down the spiral and actually cope with the stress, anxiety and overwhelm.
Often, we receive messages to slow down, take care of ourselves, or find a way to bring more joy into our lives. But what happens if we don’t heed those calls? Our bodies, brains, and emotions can and will shut down. But the way to avoid such overwhelm is to check in with yourself on a regular basis consciencely.
Start by asking yourself these questions:
- What are the things that bring you joy and give you energy?
- What can you do less of but with more impact?
- What are a few things you can let go of control over?
- What excitement can you bring back into your life?
Listen to what resonates inside you. Your answers are the guides to building the life you want.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why slowing down and listening to yourself is vital.
- How focusing on activities that bring you joy and energy can help manage overwhelm.
- Why doing less with more impact IS possible for you.
- Learning to manage yourself is the key to avoiding burnout.
