Happiness: why it's an inside job with Caroline McKenna aka "acountydownunder"
03/30/23 • 66 min
Caroline "acountydownunder" McKenna is the creator of Sunrise Social, a teacher, a podcast host, an ambassador for Anzuk Education and mental health advocate.
Caroline moved to Australia 7 years ago and found, like most expats, that it was really tough to live so far away from your family, and especially after a breakup. This is where the idea of Sunrise Social was born, and now it's a worldwide event with communities in Australia, Dubai, Canada, Bali etc.
Since then, Caroline has gone on quite a journey from hosting boat parties for the Irish communities in Australia to now working with mental health organisations, giving up alcohol and hosting her own retreats.
Caroline is an amazing role model to young females who want to create their own dream life and a great example of why you shouldn't let other people's opinions dictate your life choices.
Some topics that were spoken about:
-Why Caroline decided to move to Australia
-The birth of Sunrise Social
-How to deal with negative comments on social media
-Lessons learnt from giving up alcohol
-Steps to determine your values
