Trying to cheer people up is another one that people try and do. Like, Let's just go out fun, let's laugh, let's try and get you out of the house. It's okay to not feel good and to not be okay. And so, part of supporting a griever is to be there in their discomfort and to allow them to just lay around if they need to, to be angry, if they need to, to be apathetic.
