Today, I am speaking to Grandmothers on a mission... 2 Grandmother Representatives from Grannies Respond/Abuelas Responden - an action caravan of Grandmothers and GrandOthers across the U.S. (from New York to McAllen, Texas) to protest the government's policy on separation of children from migrant parents fleeing violence and crossing the border, they are demanding reunification of the children with their families. And an interview with Liz DeCou, a nurse and now an advocate joining the same struggle, who was arrested in California when she tried to deliver toys and solace to migrant children in 'detention'. Grandmothers taking a stand! It brings hope to us all.
