We Hate Movies

On this week's On-Screen Live! the guys are talking about Magic Mike's Last Dance taking the weekend Box Office, along with Knock at the Cabin's tragic fall, and reactions to several trailers that dropped during or around the Big Game, including Fast X, The Flash, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Creed III, and more!

NOTE: During the stream, YouTube decided to cut the feed when we were reacting to the trailer for The Flash. Everything worked itself out, but apologies for some janky-ness in the conversation toward the end, however nothing is cut out. Our whole convo is in tact!

This is of course the audio-only edition of On-Screen Live!, if you want the full experience, check out the show on our YouTube channel. Watch live every Monday at 12pm/et or catch the replay whenever. While you're there, be sure to like this episode and subscribe to the channel! Set up notifications so you don't miss a moment of new content from us over on YT! We plan on expanding the channel throughout 2023 and we don't want you to miss out!

On this episode, the guys are celebrating Valentine’s Day by chatting about the beloved 90’s rom-com, Sleepless in Seattle! Would this movie have benefitted from some kind of body count? Is Meg Ryan’s character tanking this newspaper’s expense account policy with this stalking scheme? And’s does that little boy sound like Tom Waits? PLUS: A survey of Revolutionary War-era sex toys!

Sleepless in Seattle stars Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Ross Malinger, Bill Pullman, Rita Wilson, Victor Garber, David Hyde Pierce, Frances Conroy, and Rosie O’Donnell as Becky; directed by Nora Ephron.

S13 Ep660: My Bloody Valentine (1981)

On this week’s episode, the guys keep the Valentine’s celebration going with an unofficial WLM all about 1981’s My Bloody Valentine!

How incredible is that Hollis fella? Was the town really going to fold if they didn’t have that Valentine’s Day dance? Couldn’t the kids have just brought packs of hot dogs to the town bar instead of the mining office’s commissary? How disorganized was that mental hospital? Does the neon lighting cheapen Valentine Bluffs’ town welcome sign? And did playing the video game Pong fuel Mark David Chapman’s night of terror back in 1980? PLUS: At least 15 minutes spent throughout the episode talking about, you guessed it, hot dogs!

My Bloody Valentine stars Paul Kelman, Lori Hallier, Neil Affleck, Alf Humphreys, Cynthia Dale, Helene Udy, Don Francks, Patricia Hamilton, Larry Reynolds, and Keith Knight as Hollis; directed by George Mihalka.
