My guest this time is Tania Vasallo who’s the host of The Courage To Be Podcast and the founder of The Courage To Be Happy, a global community of high-achieving women entrepreneurs working to become financially empowered and independent.

Born to a Spanish father and an American mother and raised in Spain, Tania was constantly in search of freedom from a patriarchal society. She now specializes in transforming a mindset of lack to a mindset of abundance and prosperity so that her clients discover their own autonomy in their personal and financial choices. With her guidance her first Money Magic Miracles cohort of 28 women made over 1.2 million dollars collectively in just eight weeks.

Tania has a 9 year old daughter and she shares great examples of how she empowers her to develop an abundance mindset, to be curious about money, to use her imagination to create sources of income even at this young age, to help understand how money can be used to help the community, the environment, or a cause close to heart.

Welcome to another bonus episode from the series Amazing Book Takeaways. In this segment I share concepts and ideas I read and loved in a parenting or a personal development book that I think you could benefit from.

This week I want to share with you my takeaways from the book "Entitlemania" by Richard Watts.

The book tackles a sensitive topic, namely “How not to spoil your kids, and what to do if you have”. Although some of the things I mention might push your buttons, I think it’s important to talk about that so you have it in the back of your mind when making parenting decisions.

The author makes the case that despite living in a world of instant access and unlimited knowledge resources, many children appear unequipped for their future lives. And it might be their parents’ fault. In the process of giving our kids everything we didn’t have, we forget to give them what we did have.
The good news is that you can repair the setback you may have unwittingly and unintentionally caused to your child. And the even better one is that if you’re just starting your parenting journey you can consciously parent in ways that prevent this from happening.

The author gives us great tips on what to do and what not to do from now on which I have summarized for you in this episode.

Today I share with you a special talk I had with Maya, a mom of 2 girls and an anti-bias education consultant. Our topic for the interview was fostering diversity but as always it led us to discuss the parent child relationship as a whole. Maya has been in early childhood education for a long time and she has a lot of tools in her toolkit. We talked about our own unconscious parenting patterns in triggering situations and the right way to apologize to our kids when we react in a disrespectful way. We reflected on why it’s important to encourage our children to ask questions and be the ones that are always ready to answer or at least help them find the answer.
