In this conversation Kristi shares how taking care of her tween daughter who stayed at home with a broken leg for a few months turned out to be a great opportunity to build rapport with her. We also talk about setting limits, helping kids develop their independence, creating space where they feel safe to take on challenges, fail and then try again. Kristi shares some powerful tools for building confidence and a lot of great ideas for family practices that create a nurturing atmosphere at home.
At the end of the interview I have put together a list of the tools Kristi mentions in our conversation to help you put these ideas to practice. Kristi Nellor is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of the lifestyle brand, The Hell Yes! Habit where she is on a mission to spark a movement to live a life you love! After decades as a NYC Creative Director for award-winning, multimillion dollar brands she has evolved her work to help individuals, entrepreneurs, and companies alike to clear obstacles, find their essence, embody their mission, and bring any vision to life. Relying on her deep belief that creativity always saves the day, Kristi creates the safe and playful space for transformation to unfold. She is also an empowerment mindset coach, inspirational speaker, international best-selling author, and the Host of The Hell Yes! Habit Podcast - all of which focus on saying yes to yourself and living your best life on your own terms.

Welcome to Season 3

Send us a text

This season, we’re diving deep into powerful positive parenting —the mindset and strategies that will transform how we show up for our kids. While some call it gentle parenting, I call it powerful, because the goal isn’t just to build a beautiful connection. It’s about being both firm and kind, creating boundaries that help children feel safe while fostering a loving relationship.

I’ll be sharing all I’ve learned during my 10-month certification as a Positive Parenting Educator, as well as my own experiences parenting three vibrant girls. We’ll talk about real, practical tools, and I’ll share stories of both success and struggle, offering empowerment for those moments when the journey gets tough.

You’ll also hear from educators and fellow moms on how to raise good human beings while creating a family dynamic that’s rooted in love, respect, and firm boundaries. It’s a process, and it will be challenging at times, but it’s worth it. Together, we can upgrade our family legacies and break unhealthy generational patterns.

I can’t wait to go on this journey with you!

#3: 5 tools for improving your relationship with your children - Connection Blueprint

Because many of you mentioned that having a loving and trusting relationship with your kids is a top priority, I decided to use our time this week to share a few simple and effective tools I use to create an environment where my girls feel safe and supported, and how I make them feel seen, heard, and loved.

Of course we have our ups and downs, we have times when we feel disconnected and out of sync. But I know I just have to get back to my connection blueprint, put the tools I am going to share with you to practice and our relationship will improve considerably soon after.

But remember, these are not single tasks to tick off our to-do list, but rather ongoing practices to adopt for the long term.
