![undefined - [SOLO] It's OK to not be OK.](https://storage.googleapis.com/goodpods-images-bucket/episode_images/6fb5a752ddeb543102f047c7343a7778d93daa19817f11633e76d18d70a1fb60.avif)
[SOLO] It's OK to not be OK.
Today's episode is all about giving yourself permission that it's OK to not be OK and to feel it all when life throws you an emotional dumpster fire.
The last few months I've been moving through some heavy emotions and many compounded things that have brought me to my knees. As I've been speaking with my other open-hearted female leader friends who are going through the same thing, this seems to be an energetic theme right now.
In our conversations, I've also noticed this theme that as ambitious, female leaders there is an initial fear that pops into our minds that we should have our shit together and handle it all alone.
Listen in as I remind us all... It's ok to not be ok. It's ok to not have your shit together. It's ok to not be perfect all the time. It's ok to let balls drop.
It is normal for any human, female leader or not, to feel things like anger, sadness, confusion, shame, grief, and betrayal. It is normal to have a variety of emotions all at once and even at different times of the day.
Let's transcend that what is actually normal, is your automatic response to what is coming up for you if you’re going through a shit storm, hellfire, or an emotional roller coaster in life, this month, week, or today. The Universe sends us invitations to move through the hard to get to the great.
In this episode:
- Sharing vulnerably as I’m moving through, feeling, and healing through current compounded life challenges and old repressed trauma.
- Grieving the loss of your old identity, a person, an old way of being, or a belief that's no longer serving you.
- Giving yourself permission, and compassion, to be imperfect, let balls drop, and stop trying to have your shit together all the time.
- Unlearning the b.s. societal ways we’ve been taught as women, not to be emotional or express ourselves.
- Why ignoring your emotions can create blockages and dis-ease in your body.
- There is light and dark, moving through the shadow to get through to the other side to help us grow and evolve to get to our higher selves
- The difference between witnessing an emotion evolve and ignoring it on the surface level.
UPDATE! Starting after this week episodes will move to bi-weekly, instead of weekly. I want to make sure all of the episodes (solo or interviews) are not rushed, and the content is done with intention. Bi-weekly will allow me to take my time and create the content I really want to share with you all in a more digestible, aligned, and intentional way. This podcast has become so nourishing for me and my audience and you can't force things!
