Our very funny friend and honorary Super Genius, Luke Chilton joins Bobby for a deep historical dive of the year 1817 whilst Red is on holiday. An army of 5,423 soldiers, led by General José de San Martín, starts crossing the Andes from Argentina, to liberate Chile and then Peru. German inventor Karl Drais drives his dandy horse ("Draisine" or Laufmaschine), the earliest form of bicycle, in Mannheim. The first Seminole War begins in Florida. The first cholera pandemicoriginates in Bengal, reaching Calcutta by September. Joseph Dalton Hooker, English botanist and Alexander Wood (physician), Scottish inventor of the first true hypodermic syringe are both born. Also Luke is recovering from a sensitive and sore neck after a martial arts fight.

We had a pretty lively audience when we travel back to 1974, when the first recorded sextuplets in the world where all six babies survived, the first McDonalds in the UK opens in Woolwich, South East London, Lord Lucan disappears after the murder of his children's nanny, Hollywood star and 90s pin-up Leonardo DiCaprio is born along with English supermodel Kate Moss and the Rumble in the Jungle takes place in Zaire where Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman to regain the heavyweight boxing title. Rosie Jones storms her way onto the podcast and Bobby and Red get in the time machine to take her back to the year she was born, 1990. Aside from being the year of birth of our biggest fan, 1990 also saw the trial of Joseph Hazelwood, the former skipper of the Exxon Valdez, supertanker, in Alaska, who was accused of negligence that resulted in America's second worst oil spill and whose name became a national joke, the first McDonald's opens in Moscow, Russia after 8 months of construction, and an agreement is reached for a two stage plan to re-unite Germany after the Second World War, with the Berlin Wall coming down the year before (See Episode #20 of 1989 for more on that), and Gary Lineker has an accident on the football pitch during a England World Cup game at Italia '90. Also Rosie shares impression of Red with us along with some very funny stories, behind the scenes, making television shows for you to enjoy, and everybody talks about their views on the past and future of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
