Michelle is multi-passionate and talks about her main interests, which include food, public speaking, grief, loss, and mental health. She mentions that food is an important part of her life and is intertwined with love and grief. On Michelle’s mother's side of the family. They grew up literally dirt poor with a dirt floor in their cabin. They had an outhouse they didn't have running water. And one thing that her mother told her that her grandmother said that has always stuck with her. Whenever somebody would come to visit. Grandmother would say we don't have much but what we have you are welcome to. That idea of sharing and hospitality even if you had very little was really inspiring for Michelle. Once she grew up and moved out and had a place of her own for a while she really took this as a calling. That hospitality that idea that everyone is welcome at the table and this is where we can share despite our differences despite what we have or don't have. We will break bread together in this warm, safe space where you are fed not just in body but in soul. Join us as we break bread with Michelle Gil.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, James Trees embarked on his culinary journey at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas before honing his skills at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York.
