In today's food industry, simple or refined sugars can be found in a wide variety of products and in different presentations: corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, round rice syrup and so on and so forth. These can be found in protein bars, breakfast bars, white bread, wheat bread, bagels, coffee cakes, doughnuts, pastries, candy, fruit juices, soft drinks, sports drinks and other processed foods, beverages and snacks.
