The Ugly Radio - S4E7: Staring At The Sun

The Ugly Radio

What's the biggest risk you've ever taken? What was your endgame? Did you do it to test yourself or maybe you were put in an unfortunate series of events? It takes a certain amount of reckless abandon to take risks and we here in the Void positively can relate.... even though the void doesn't have a sun. It's just infinite nothingness. But it's also room temperature so that's a win.
Tonight's episode is about risks. Stories about unifying in the face of death, mending family ties over strange cuisine, and coming to grips with the cat ghosts living in your walls. We welcome two news writers to the Void, K.O. Killingsworth & Evan Baughfman, as well as Jake Ynzunza joining the ensemble for the first time. We've also got Black Ends absolutely destroying what ever corner of the Void they're playing in. Join us, won't you?
PS. Is. it "cat ghost" or "ghost cat"? Asking for a friend.

S4E6: A Space Between

Let's get Liminal. February was about getting back on path. March is all about the secret trails the path may lead you : the spaces between worlds. Liminal spaces can be empty, unnerving, reflective and alien. The strangers you meet along the way may wear smiles on their faces, but they are not always your friends. Dare to explore "A Space Between", our newest episode featuring three new shiver-inducing stories. We've also got music guest, lo-fi avant garde jazz duo STYLE KING OF THE WEEK to take you places sonically you've never explored. Welcome to the space between.

PRODUCTION NOTE: Originally, this episode was marketed as/titled "Doing The Cockroach", based on one of the segments we had intended to include. Production has pulled that segment to be used in a future episode. The name has been changed, but the theme remains the same.
Live. Die. Repeat. Not only is it the better title to Tom Cruise action vehicle, "Edge of Tomorrow," it's also a perfect encapsulation of the endless iterations and resets that our episode tonight entails. Three new stories from three new friends of the void. Join us as we cycle through this mortal coil again and again. Just watch out for falling debris / planet-killing asteroids.

  • 'The Re-Set Room’, written by Maria Viera Beatty. Performed by Lyam White and MaryKate Moran.
  • ‘Black Balloon’, written by Barry Wallace. Performed by Shane Regan, Steven Sterne, Alexandria Stevens, and Andrew Shanks.
  • ’To Stop The End of the World’, written by Morgan L Ventura. Performed by Monica Domena, A.V. Eichenbaum, Maddy Nibble, Sarah Rose Nottingham, Shane Regan, Cody Smith, Alexandria Stevens, and Jordan-Michael Whidbey.
