We're nearly done with SEASON THREE and we're throwing a party to die for. Two new stories hit our frequencies that'll give you a killer buzz. Bret Fetzer returns to The Ugly Radio with 'Room 672', where a hotel guest happens across the wrong party and the right time. Booze, Murder, Ritualistic Sacrifice and 80s Goth Metal collide in this tongue in cheek tale performed by MaryKate Moran. The head of PODMOTH NETWORK, Janine Mercer, makes their Ugly Radio debut with 'Cider Remedies', a victorian tale about a town pariah and the true story behind her devilish tonic concoctions. Happy accidents make frightening consequences in this story performed by Lisa Viertel. PLUS! LEMON BOY RETURNS to perform two brand-new songs! Come on in, have a drink and stay in the light....

Staring At The Sun
The Ugly Radio
03/30/24 • 65 min
What's the biggest risk you've ever taken? What was your endgame? Did you do it to test yourself or maybe you were put in an unfortunate series of events? It takes a certain amount of reckless abandon to take risks and we here in the Void positively can relate.... even though the void doesn't have a sun. It's just infinite nothingness. But it's also room temperature so that's a win.
Tonight's episode is about risks. Stories about unifying in the face of death, mending family ties over strange cuisine, and coming to grips with the cat ghosts living in your walls. We welcome two news writers to the Void, K.O. Killingsworth & Evan Baughfman, as well as Jake Ynzunza joining the ensemble for the first time. We've also got Black Ends absolutely destroying what ever corner of the Void they're playing in. Join us, won't you?
PS. Is. it "cat ghost" or "ghost cat"? Asking for a friend.

The Distance Between
The Ugly Radio
11/28/21 • 27 min
On Tonight's Episode: We're nearing the end of Season 2! As most of us are smack dab in the middle of the holiday traveling season, we wanted to tell a couple yarns about the road not taken. The void that awaits us at the end of the journey. The longing once the destination has been reached. On "The Distance Between" we have two stories, two music guests, and too many leftovers to take home with us.
Amy Escobar returns to The Ugly Radio with a heartbreaking tale of loss in "Void Me Under the Moon", performed by Alissa Cattabriga. Then, in part two of the Kareem Saga, "Darien Alexander returns to continue the tale of Kareem Howard (last featured in our episode "We Lost the Sea") and his travels across time and space. After years abroad though, what awaits him back home? "Kareem of Earth" is performed by Jesse Smith and Andrew Shanks with original music by CLaudio.

Bring Me The Head Of The Disco King
The Ugly Radio
08/13/22 • 38 min
We get biblical in this one. Join us as Season Three continues with Butch Alice making their Ugly Radio debut! They've written a deliciously blasphemous industrial video to share with the class, so we brought ensemble favorites, Mandy Rose Nichols, Monica Domena, Lyam White and Jordan-Michael Whidbey to bring it to life. Also making their debut, our newest member of the Ugly Radio family, Jeremiah Paulsen! In his story, "The Pellet Stove Salesman", a soon-to-be-father (Mike Gilson) has to tackle some pretty big hurdles to get home in time for the birth of his first child. Like Eldritch-sized hurdles. Oh and the debuts don't stop there. Spokane outfit, KADABRA, stop by to thrash the frequencies.
Tonight's episode is produced by Andrew Shanks.
Segments Featured Are:
The Book Of Leviticus written by Butch Alice - Performed by Mandy Rose Nichols, Monica Domena, Lyam White, and Jordan-Michael Whidbey. Original music by Bodhi Beats.
