The True Crime Librarian

The grip of her mother has reached its maximum hold, Gypsy Rose is sick of living this way with no options on the horizon of it changing. Instead, she plans the perfect Fairy Tale Love Story; the one where the villain is defeated and the Princess is whisked away by Prince Charming. But what happens after the villain is defeated and all she is left with is a man she wants nothing more to do with. Lust is brilliantly disguised as love in this anything but a love story. Gypsy escaped her mother and now she can escape the man she thought she knew and loved and take the first steps at being a better person...

When do a mother’s intentions begin to raise flags of ill will? How far can abuse by Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy go before someone steps in and advocates for the victim? Dee Dee Blanchard was damn near perfect at manipulating people into doing not only what she wanted but what she felt she was owed in life and the cost of it all? Her daughter, Gyspy Rose Blanchard. Nothing was said or done without Dee Dee carefully scripting what was being said or how it was going to happen. Dee Dee’s childhood and well into her early adult life could set the precedence for the mental illness she harbored thanks to her own mother’s systematic doting from her own mother. Little did anyone know, Dee Dee would test her limits and see how the body would react when trying to trigger the symptoms of a disease she desired her child to be diagnosed with. All for the sake of attention and financial gain. Gypsy Rose Blanchard came into this world a happy, easy-going child. Her mother was her best friend, she didn’t see what others do in hindsight, she didn’t realize that living life day in and day out of hospitals was nothing more than abuse and torture... not until she was introduced to a world she desired so much. What Dee Dee never considered is her daughter’s desire for freedom and independence would be stronger than the fear she instilled into Gypsy...

At the Hands of Their Father: The John Battaglia Jr Case ep 1

What happens when the man you marry, the man that father's your children does the unthinkable? Michelle Ward Ghetti couldn't imagine the monster that lay in the pit of darkness within her new husband John. He had shown her a glimpse at who he would become and she wanted no part of that but when the pregnancy stick turned blue she was left with a decision; shame her family and have the child out of wedlock or marry the man that was capable of completely terrifying her?
John Battaglia was never capable of becoming a loving husband and father, he was raised in an abusive household. Losing his mother to suicide emotionally stunted John and the only living role model taught him to put his wife in her place by any means necessary. The desire to win over a father left John insecure and mentally unstable. Anything deemed an embarrassment needed to be fixed so the father he tried to impress wouldn't shame him for it. John had no idea what it took to have a wife and family and he certainly had no idea how to handle the mental disorder he most definitely had...
