016 Learning to Love Your Body
06/07/21 • 17 min
Why is it so important to learn to love your body? If you are interested in exploring pleasure, intimacy, connection, sensuality and sexuality, our bodies are the interface through which we experience those things. In this episode, we will go through some of the reasons why we’ve been taught to disengage from our bodies, and the ways to fall in love with them again.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
How the societal values have shaped our relationship with our bodies
The danger of retreating to the analytical mind only, and disregarding the intelligence of your body
How to start learning to love your body and the power of language you use
A mirror exercise to practice loving your body
Your whole body, just as it is in this moment, in this shape, in this size, is beautiful, sacred, intelligent and amazing. The body is more than most people perceive it to be; it is your portal to pleasure, joy, intimacy and love. So I urge you to learn to love your body, to be kind to it, and to fall in love with it.

017 Loving Your Genitals
Today, we will talk about learning to love your genitals. This episode is directed at cisgender men, identified as male with penis and testicles from birth. We will understand why it is essential to love your genitals, and we will analyze the socially imposed shame and guilt around having a penis. I will also share a simple and effective exercise to get into a loving relationship with your penis, testicles, and prostate.
What You Will Learn In This Episode:
The importance of having a loving connection with your genitals
A simple exercise to generate a loving bond with your genitalia
Why it’s important what you think about your penis and testicles
How a negative relationship with our genitals affects your sexuality and why
Many men call their genitalia "down there," avoiding common words like penis, cock, or testicles. There are big chances that if we feel ashamed of our genitals, we bring that into love making situations, reinforcing that shame. We must find a word we feel comfortable using to name our genitals, and embrace it to generate a healthy relationship.
