Part 1 | Do I Have ADHD? Coping With Neurodivergence in Family, Relationships, and Fashion
08/11/24 • 34 min
This week's episode is one we've been excited about for a while. Our guest, Suzy Jackson, may not be known to many of you, but she is the founder of The Technicolour Project, an ADHD coaching company based in the North East of England. Suzy is here to help us delve into Cara's mind on all things ADHD.
Cara often discusses her strong inclination that she and many of her family members may have ADHD. Eager to further explore her journey, she faces the daunting challenge of UK NHS waiting lists for adult ADHD assessments, which can be up to 8 years long. This makes taking those first steps overwhelming.
In this two-part special of the School Runway podcast, we explore the following topics:
- What it’s like to live with ADHD, especially in modern times
- ADHD and fashion: a neurodivergent perspective on fashion
- Is ADHD a real problem or just a new trend?
- Neurodivergence in families: coping challenges and successes
- ADHD diagnosis and stigmatisation concerns
- Social life and intimacy: being present in the moment
- Coping strategies you can implement today
Also it wouldn't be a School Runway podcast if we didn't ask our guest their favourite item of clothing, favourite beauty bag product and their fashion fail.
