#18 Joe Sieving | Child Prodigy & Plant Enthusiast
01/03/21 • 48 min
Joe Sieving is known by thousands as a former PE Teacher and Track Coach at Prairie Central.
What he's less commonly known as is a former child prodigy, a lightning strike survivor, and a full-on vegan.
In this episode, Joe and I discuss his wildly fascinating life thus far. From his days of being in a government-ran organization designed to find and train ultra-intelligent kids, to his extremely emotional and eventful college years, to his near-death experience with a lightning strike, to his full-on lifestyle switch where he went from eating mostly eat to eating nothing but plant-based foods!
Joe's a great man that I've admired since my youth. I'm very pleased to share this story with everyone in the area.
As always I'd like to say thank you to this show's amazing sponsors!

#17 Austin Gomez | Iowa State Wrestler on Medical Retirement
Austin recently made headlines in the wrestling world announcing his medical retirement just before his senior year at Iowa State University.
Austin was an incredible talent in the sport, boasting 3 state titles, 2 Fargo titles, qualifying for a world team, and much much more. Additionally, during his time at Iowa State, Austin quickly became a fan favorite and was considered a serious candidate to win a D1 National Title
Very few make it to the level that Austin has. He's given his entire life to this sport - so to say it must be heartbreaking to hang his shoes up while still in college, could be an understatement.
It was a privilege to have Austin on the show, and I hope you appreciate hearing this story directly from the source.
