People Pleasing and Letting Go of What Other's Think - Episode #05
12/02/21 • 27 min
Episode 5: People Pleasing and Letting Go of What Other’s Think
We all want the acceptance and approval of others. Putting yourself out there is an act of vulnerability because it opens you up to others’ opinions. As Brene’ Brown said, vulnerability is “having the courage to show up when you can’t control the outcome.” When we’re more concerned about what others think than our own opinions, it can impact the way we show up, how we interact with others and our choices in life. That’s called people-pleasing.
In this episode of the Midlife Career Rebel Podcast, we cover...
- What it means to be a people pleaser
- The myth about putting others first
- The three reasons we care so much what others think
- Why women are more prone to people-pleasing
- Why it’s important to care more about yourself
- How to stop prioritizing what other people think

Money Beliefs and The Capacity to Make Money - Episode #06
Episode 6: Money Beliefs and The Capacity to Make Money
Our relationship with money is probably the most complicated relationship we have. But what many of us don't understand is that the stories we've inherited or created around money directly impact our capacity to make it.
A money story is a personal narrative you have about money. It makes up your beliefs, thoughts, and feelings about money and affects your financial behaviors.
Today, we will talk all about money and the importance of changing our money stories to increase our earnings. I'll also be sharing my own story, how to identify your own, and what you can do to change it.
Also, grab your free copy of the Money Mindset Workbook to work through and overcome your own limiting beliefs around money so you can create the financial outcomes you want in your life and career.
In this episode of the Midlife Career Rebel Podcast, you'll discover...
- My background that formed my money mindset.
- The biggest misconceptions about money that hold us back.
- The relationship between value and income.
- How you can create more money in your life.
- Why you need to change your beliefs about money and how you can begin.
- Questions to help you with the process of changing your money beliefs.
