Many things around us escape our understanding. The unexplained hauntings of families and their children. The motive of horrific serial killers. The strange lights in our sky that we attribute to UFOs and extraterrestrials. The terrifying sightings of cryptids. The urban legends of things so horrific they’ve never been seen. The world in which we live is a dark and twisted place.
Whether it is something we can see outright, or something that we choose not to believe. They are very real. For these are my stories, the Paranormal, Supernatural, Occult, True Crime, Alien, Conspiracy, Cryptids and the Unexplained.
Join me each Tuesday as we discover a new dark chapter. I’m Nick, your host, and this is the Insidious Agenda Podcast.

Hello everyone! I hope your October has been going extremely well and is filled with all the cozy sweaters and spooky movies that you could ask for.
On this week's episode, I'll outline the story of Arne Cheyenne Johnson and the iconic defense used in the trial of the murder he was accused of - that, thanks to Ed Warren - has become symbolically known as "The Devil made me do it."
We'll discuss the initial events surrounding the Glatzel family and their child David's brush with a demonic entity that Arne naively taunted and ended up dragging him through one of the worst events of his life. You'll discover what actually happened between Arne Johnson and Alan Bono and why the case became so iconic that it would spawn books and movies. Further propelling Ed and Lorraine Warren into the spotlight and how it affected the Glatzel family with the follow on media attention.

In this week's episode, we'll discuss the Men who never existed. Those who show up, claiming to be UFO investigators or Government agents; with no identification, no names, a supernatural appearance and one goal. To silence witnesses and storytellers of UFO encounters, threatening violence or things much worse. We discuss their appearance and even encounters that some people claim to have had with these Men in Black.

So, let's start an awesome appreciation bit for each set of show notes. I want you to know that I appreciate you listening, so each new episode I'll open with a shout out to some listeners in different parts of the world to let you know how appreciative I am that you come back every week, choosing to spend time listening to me. This week's shout goes to my listeners in San Diego, California!
What a hell of a week. I'm sure many podcasts might not do things like this, but I wanted to really start my show notes by saying Slava Ukraini! The Forces of Ukraine liberated their southern city of Kherson this week. The Blue and Gold now flies back over their city in the South, turning back the clock on their tyrannical oppressor. Just quick plug to say to our Ukranian listeners, keep fighting back; the world is watching and we're cheering you on!
So the snow has set in this week, bringing with it another cold winter ahead. With that, however, I have some amazing stories to bring you this month. We opened last week, with the story of The Zodiac Killer. This week, we movie back into the subject of Extraterrestrials and UFOs; bringing with it the story of Betty and Barney Hill - the first reported Alien abductees in human history.
Their story is terrifying. I sympathize with them and couldn't imagine going through something as horrific as they did. That being said, there are some parts of this story that share similarities with our other Alien centric episodes, The Roswell Incident and The Men in Black. As for what those are, you'll just have to hit play!
Also, I hope you've been enjoying the new format for the show. I'm trying to experiment with multiple things, such as a shorter opening so that we can get into the story more quickly. So bear with me as I continue this process, but it also brings you something new every week so that makes me happy.
I hope you've been enjoying the episodes and content I put out. I try my best with social media, but i'm not artistically inclined. I do have some exciting opportunities to bring forward though. Be sure to check Facebook to see what I have lined up and you might be able to join me as part of The Insidious Agenda Podcast team.
That's all I have for this week, I'll be back with you next Tuesday - I'll see you then!
Stay spooky,
Nick

First off - my shoutout this week goes out to my listeners in Brisbane, Australia. If you saw the schedule release the other day, I have a story local to you coming December 27th!
My god what a week! First off, I wanted to shout out the previous episode about The Dyatlov Pass Incident as it caused two things to happen. The First, it was our most watched episode on YouTube ever - eclipsing 500 views and still going. It also pushed us from 70 subscribers to (as of this second) 117. I think that's really great as it grows the fan base for.... drum roll please... the first episode of Dark Reflections which is coming on Thursday following this episode (will have a 5:00 a.m. EST release timing like the main episode). Due to monthly time constraints on my hosting page, Dark Reflections will be exclusive to YouTube (which you can search by the Podcast name, or by the YouTube link at the bottom of the show notes - and likely Facebook). So ensure you're already following the Pod in one of those two places so you won't miss it.
Just a quick snapshot about Dark Reflections. It will be a minor re-cap of the weekly main episode, also giving me a chance to give my thoughts (as I don't like to spoil the storytelling with my own opinions) and discover any local news. In addition, if any listeners want to tell their own spooky paranormal stories, send them to our e-mail in the linktree and I'll even read them. I anticipate Dark Reflections to only be, on average a 15–20-minute listen.
But on to this week, the tragic and controversy packed story of the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy; an episode I've dedicated (at the end of it) to my mother as it's her favourite historical event (next to the Death of Princess Diana). An event that has so many question marks, shadows and even a plethora of conspiracy theories. This episode will give you a detailed understanding of the events as they happened, what happened immediately following and then a myriad of conspiracy theories surrounding the plot.
Was it Lyndon Baines Johnson, the Vice President? Was he linked in with the FBI, CIA, Organized Crime or even a Castro-led Cuba? All of these and more are contained therein. I don't dive

What an exciting week! For me, it's the last week before a few solid (and needed) weeks off and Christmas morning is one week from today (as I type out these show notes anyway). I'm really excited to bring you another amazing story from the world of things dark and twisted.
First, i'd be amiss if I didn't do my weekly shoutout. This week's shoutout goes to my listeners down under in Australia. Specifically those listening in Melbourne and Brisbane. Thanks for tuning in and I hope you've been enjoying the content! Of course, next week is an episode from an Australian story so I hope you'll love it!
I hope you're all done your Christmas shopping and ready for the big day. If you still have to get out there and brave the crowds and chaos that the holiday season brings, maybe you can plug your headphones in and listen to this episode. A big of an interesting one this week. It is, by nature, historical - touching on things morbid and dark in addition to the supernatural. This is the story of Erzebet (Elizabeth) Bathory. A noble woman in 15 and 1600s Hungary and Slovakia. A woman of such beauty, grace and nobility she was one of the most powerful and influential women of her time. Unfortunately, she was not all that she appeared to be. Having had a penchant for torture and murder of young girls between the ages of 10 and 14. I don't want to give too much of her story away, as it's yours to discover within.
As mentioned, for those that don't want the gory details of her reign; stop listening at 13:05 and you can pick up again at 16:00.
Also, you'll notice that Dark Reflections wasn't uploaded last week and won't be mentioned in this week's episode. I had a listen to the first one a few times and it didn't meet the standards of what I expect my episodes to be. It will return in the future once I have a solid plan and format in place. More to the point, just so that it doesn't just sound like the rumblings of a crazy person.
In other exciting Podcast news, I have been in touch with a Psychic Medium who is going to come on the Podcast. I'm hoping to interview them over my Christmas break and bring that episode to you in January or February. I'm trying to get a few guests to come on, just have to get by my social anxiety and nervousness. But, it's a labour of love and I really want to do it for you!
I'm also starting to plan out new social media content so if you haven't followed

https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying this little week in between where days and times really don't exist. That being said, happy Tuesday! Of course, that brings with it a new episode of the Insidious Agenda Podcast.
This week's story is one that inspired the 2003 film, Open Water. It is the disappearance of Tom and Eileen Lonergan; a couple who was left behind on a diving trip in Australia on their way back to the United States after a posting to the peace corps.
Though it's not the usual type of content I do, I believed it was an important story to tell and ties in well to some of our central undertones. That of terror and fear. It's also a bit of an emotional rollercoaster that involves relief, dread, anger and sadness. It's also a major testament to what happens when you simply don't do your job. That being said, it doesn't discount the possibility that it was planned by the Lonergans. I won't get into more than that here.
As we start to wrap up the year, i'll have a New Year's episode coming out on NYE 2022. It will outline my Top 10 favourite moments of the first year of my podcast, fill you all in on what lead to me starting it and capping it all off with our inaugural awards - The Insidi-est!
I hope you enjoy the episode and, as always, thanks for coming back to the Insidious Agenda Podcast. It means more than you know!
Stay spooky,

Special New Year's Episode - A Year in Review
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Congratulations everyone, we made it. New Year's Eve 2022. It wouldn't have felt right without doing a Year in Review episode. This episode brings a multitude of things. I give you my list of the Top 10 moments of the Podcast in 2022. In the midst of that, I'll tell you what really led to me starting the Podcast before finally moving on to our awards, the Inaugural iteration of The Insidi-est.
The other reason for starting the podcast that I didn't say in the episode was to break the Work - Watch TV - Sleep - Repeat cycle. I wanted to do more than just sleep walk through life and I feel that I accomplished that! Plus, it helps feed my independent, introvertedness :)
This is a fun episode complete with wonderful moments, music, clips of previous episodes all rolled in to one. I hope you enjoy our recap for the first year of the Podcast and there are still many amazing more things to come in 2023.
Happy New Year - and stay spooky!

Chapter 31 - Into the Deep: Atlantis, Sirens and The Kraken
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
Hello again my friends,
Nick here, coming back to you with another amazing and interesting episode. For this, I decided to go Nautical themed. I originally intended this episode to be solely focused on Atlantis, however I figured I would save some of the conspiracy theories and recent developments on it for another time; deciding to focus solely on Atlantis' back story.
Because that bit was so short, and the historical mystery of it all strays a bit from what I like to cover in the Podcast, I wanted to throw a few more things at you. To supplement the episode, I talk about the treacherous entities known as Sirens. How their songs affect sailors and seafarers before moving on to the big boy. The creature everyone who is a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean knows as The Kraken. But does the Kraken really exist? How did it come to be? All those questions are more are answered by just hitting play.
Outside of this, as we look not too far ahead, i'm really looking forward to the March 14th episode! I've decided, that because St. Patrick's Day is that week that I'm going to do a Folklore Appendices episode specifically on Irish folk legends. One of those covered will be the Banshee (because I have a friend whose nickname is Banshee so I hope she'll enjoy that). As for the other one or two, you'll have to wait. If there's a specific one you want to hear (or any story in general), feel free to shoot me an e-mail at [email protected]. I'd love to hear from you!
A few brief housekeeping points before we wrap up. I would be thrilled if you could leave a review for us. Accomplished by using whichever podcast app you're streaming from (i.e. the star button through Spotify). Also - make sure you subscribe, follow, etc. because I have a really terrifying story coming next week! As for what it is, you'll have to stick around for the Outro.
One thing I wanted to circle back around to as well, and I apologize for not keeping my promise; is that I wasn't able to do a guest interview for February. Like you, life sometimes gets in the way for me. Curveballs get thrown at you and the general busyness sometimes gets in the way. That doesn't stop me from producing my weekly episode to share with all of you. As I mentioned in some of the episodes, this is my creative outlet so it's important to me that I keep the weekly promise to both you and I to come back. Because I love these st

Bonus - St. Patrick's Day 2023 - The Dark Legends of Ireland

The Folklore Appendices: Dark Legends of Ireland
https://linktr.ee/insidiousagendapodcast
First off, a happy St. Patrick's Day to those celebrating. I don't believe i've had anyone listen in to the Podcast from Ireland yet - so this might be the first. If you have any Irish friends - flip them a link to the episode. I'd be interested to hear what they think and if I did the stories justice.
Like most holidays, I always want to put out a second episode to say thanks to you all for listening and also because it offers the opportunity to hear from different cultures around the world. We're fascinated by the drinking aspect that comes from Irish culture on St. Patrick's Day, but we never hear of their terrifying stories rooted in Celtic belief.
So, that's where I come in with three different stories. The first is the story of the Banshee, likely the one that most are familiar with due to it's screaming and the many sayings that come with its name. I wanted to cover this one for a friend who told me once that she was given that nickname. The second, is one of the more interesting deities in legend - the Morrigan. A shapeshifting Goddess of battle whose cry forebode death. The third, is another of Bram Stoker's inspirations for Count Dracula, the story of the evil, undead dwarf King known as Abartach.
So there you have it! Another episode is coming your way on Tuesday per normal, but hopefully this will get your St. Patrick's Day started right and I wish you a wonderful, joyous celebration (if you're taking part).
Sláinte and Erin Go Bragh!

Hello everyone and welcome back for another amazing episode, well pair of episodes. I didn't want to make it too long, for those of you that listen in during your morning commute or walk. So, I've divided today's episode into two parts. In this first episode I tell the story of the beginning of the Witch Trials in Europe before moving on to their early spread into the colonies of the New World.
I will re-examine some of the European Witch Trials, especially those in England, at a later date but this episode will give you a cursory overview of how the prosecution of presumed witches began and how the stage was set for it to not only follow into the New World but ignite the tinders of the religious zealots that awaited it.
Before you go, remember to subscribe so you don't miss any of the amazing episodes that are coming. As a bit of a treat, I'll have my first guest interview coming to the podcast in the coming months and I'm really excited to share their story!
