Domain Names! Experiences, Opinions and Ideas
01/13/20 • 40 min
Securing a domain name is the first step to having a web presence. Think of domain names as digital real estate. In this episode of the Huba Show I share my experiences and opinions within the world of domain names. I have been involved with domains on all different levels since the mid 90's, during the early stages of the internet. Also known as the information super highway. I love the tedious process of finding domain names. Thinking of which areas to search out, searching around words, using my imagination and creativity, finding alternate meanings to words, coming up with search patterns, new search methods etc. I absolutely love doing it. GoDaddy.com is where I buy all my names from. I've been with them since the 90's when they started. Back in the day before GoDaddy, only a few domain companies even existed. One of those was Register.com. I had the pleasure of visiting their headquarters in NYC back in early 2001. Sit back, relax, get comfy and enjoy the show!

Napkins not included
A week into 2020, has it lost its flare? I recently discovered Mukbang on YouTube. In this episode I attempt to put it into words. But let me be clear...no pasta was harmed in this podcast recording lol. I would never do that to fresh pasta. Whole wheat pasta can take a backseat as far as I'm concerned. I'll save that for another show.
Get your ears ready, turn off the lights, sit back, relax and enjoy!
According to Wikipedia:
Mukbang, muk-bang or meokbang is a live online audiovisual broadcast in which a host eats food while interacting with their audience. Usually done through a webcast, mukbang became popular in South Korea in 2010. Foods ranging from pizza to noodles are consumed in front of a camera for an online audience. Based on the attractiveness of real-time and interactive aspects, eating shows are expanding their influence in internet broadcasting platforms and serve as a virtual community and a venue for active communication among active internet users.

A 3 Minute Podcast?
Can someone become successful with a short podcast? When I mean short, I'm talking between two and three minutes long. I usually keep mine under an hour. I decided on a whim to make one with the voice memo app on my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. The audio quality is pretty amazing compared to a lot of other smart phones. I use it all the time.
I'm excited to announce that I'll be attending the podcaster gathering on Wednesday February 26th from 6pm to 8pm at the world famous Buzzsprout Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL!
