Why Boundaries are Important

4 steps to setting boundaries. I feel like this life skill is something that very few people saw modeled in a healthy way leaving most of us to figure it out as we walked through life. The problem is that anyone with adverse childhood experiences now needs to learn healthy personal boundaries and why they are important.
It may be interesting to learn that boundaries are actually for the person who is setting the boundaries and not for those being asked to respect the boundary. That raises the question then, why do boundaries hurt other people's feelings? And how can we stop being hurt when we come across someone else's boundaries?

This podcast is not meant to take the place of therapy, to diagnose or treat anyone. I have had therapy as recently as 2021 and found it very helpful. I am not a doctor. My only degree is in computers. I am simply sharing tools I have used to help myself grow to become an emotionally healthy person and sharing stories about my journey. Please seek medical help, as I did, if you are unable to cope with life and all that it brings.
