Is it a GOOD time to buy a home?

The short answer is yes, now is a very good time to be in the market to purchase a home. There's balance for the buyers again. You can take your time to find the right home, negotiate a good value, and you don't have put your earnest deposit at risk over the appraisal or inspection. It's been years since buyers were in charge! On top of this, you have great programs such as the temporary interest rate buy down (paid for by the seller) to bring your rate down considerably for the first 1-2 years to take a bite out of the higher interest rate market we are in at the moment.
