The Fire Within

Did you know that apparently I'm afraid...of EVERYTHING?

I'm learning Reiki right now, and my Reiki teacher did a session with me, and she told me the first thing she felt was ALLLLLLL THE FEAR: fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of being seen, fear of doing it wrong...

And unfortunately it all made sense...but I also felt a weight lift off of me by acknowledging that I've been carrying that fear and letting it stop me from going after my big dreams and goals. It's why I've been playing small. And it's time to stop.

It's time for you to stop being afraid, too. Or at least, to acknowledge what you're afraid of, and ACT IN SPITE OF THE FEAR.

We're always going to be afraid of something. It's not realistic to expect that we'll never be afraid again. But it IS silly to continue to let it hold us back.

So listen in as I give you some tips on how to figure out if you're holding onto fear and what you can do about it.

How to Be More Mindful (and an Invitation to Join My Mindfulness and Meditation Challenge)

Have you been feeling stressed lately? Overwhelmed? Consumed with anxiety or worry? Sad or depressed?

Me too.

Much of the stress and overwhelm that we feel (not all, of course, but a good portion of it) can be due to us NOT being in the present moment. Not living in the present moment. Truly not living life...

Because the only time that exists for us to experience...is RIGHT NOW. Today. Right here. There is no tomorrow. Yesterday is gone. All we have is right now.

So if we stay stuck in the past, reliving old memories, or we constantly worry about things that haven't even happened yet (and probably won't happen), we take on that extra weight on our shoulders. And we stop living.

Let's put a stop to that.

Today we're going over some tips on how to be more mindful. Some of them you've probably heard before, but you needed a reminder. Some of them you might not have considered, or gone deep enough with before.

How Meditation Helps Your Confidence

Fair warning first: you can hear my kids in the background a lot on this one! I apologize and I appreciate your grace. :)

Confidence is a tricky subject. But one surefire way to help boost it is by meditating. Ideally daily, but the more often the better, even if it's just a couple times a week.

When you meditate, you start to really connect to yourself, and DISCONNECT not only from the outside chaos, but even from your own thoughts. You learn to observe without judging yourself, without making yourself feel bad for feeling things!

You learn to listen and HEAR your own inner voice, and depending on your beliefs, maybe even start to hear the guidance and clarity you need in your life.
